Gotta love Coach Macs demeanor....his sense of humor and how much he cares about his players....watching the video of him standing at the runway at the airport to greet players as they boarded was awesome...he wanted to thank each and everyone of them for their efforts.
He is building a program and I love his honesty and saying its not always pretty. We are now 8-2...I predicted 11-1 after the spring game but I feel we are so much better than last year....so I'll take it. 9-2 by beating the girls school and we will be inside the top ten....look out.

I don't think we'll be a top 10 team if we beat FSU. There's a lot of 2 loss teams ahead of us now that take up 5-12 according to the AP poll.

I'm working on the prediction thread, and I gotta say.
They are really, really overrated. FSU is not the same team they used to be. They're not special, I wouldn't even say they're good.
I don't think they could beat any of the Top Six of the SEC.
Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU and Auburn would all have their way with FSU's defense.
shite, the way Vanderbilt is playing, Vandy could probably drop that anchor on their face.

I wouldn't go as far as to say they're not good. Jimbo has built a solid, talented program out there. He has talent on defense and a couple of good playmakers on offense. Francois and Cook are their most dangerous weapons. None of their receivers scare me, at all. Their OL can't hold LSU or Arkansas's jock strap. Dalvin Cook is a stud. Their DL is comparable to LSU's. Our boy TJ McCoy will have his hands full with Demarcus Walker and Jawaan Taylor will have his hands full with fellow freshman Brian Burns or their other good DE Josh Sweat. Their secondary is prone to give up big pass plays.
I like how we match up with them. I see us putting up some points actually. I think we can obviously slow down Cook, we proved that last year and against the great running backs we've seen this year. We need Q and Tabor to get back to playing at a high level. I think we beat FSU 24-14.

No one has beaten them without scoring 35+ points. UF will have to bring their A+ game to hang in this one.

I hope, if nothing else, that fans that think Mac is just the "gee golly, football is swell" type gets that is just a face he wears for the media. That guy is driven, he just seems to leave that side of his personality for the team most of the time. We saw a little when he chewed out Taylor last year. You saw a little more after this game.
I figured out a long time ago that when he goes on a tangent about some obscure song in a press conference that that is his way of saying, "That's a stupid question. No answer for you."

IDK, defense isn't at top physical condition right now. They've given up 400 or more yards 2 out of the last 3 games against decent competition.

It will easily be the best they have played. FSU has enjoyed a frick ton of very soft zone coverages with almost no pressure on their quarterback.
ACC defenses just aren't even in the same league.
