Random thought - I am super pissed that this board banned a gator fan. Come on people. Nut up. If you don't agree with someone just ignore him and don't engage. This banning shite is stupid and we should leave that to the super sensitives over at GC.

It's not normal behavior on your own team board, this place is a discussion, not a shitposting tournament. Do it on the OT, maybe even tRant, but not to other posters on your own team board.

Makes no sense to get that mad, either.

All because McElwain won.

Positive to Negative: QB play is a liability until proven otherwise

Negative to Positive: Randy Shannon will still do a very good job as DC.

Ok that was a little much. Maybe a short time out for wishing death on someone lol. But I like the uncensored nature of this board.

Come on now finch. TJ actually wished death upon straws and said he would dance in the streets if straws was to die. I love sports but damn that's ridiculous.

Just saw what happened to TJ and saw that it was my thread that accused him of being a gump was whacked. I don't like to call folks out, but this troll was beyond any rationality. I just checked his post history; kid liked to pick fights any which way he could.

That is such horse shite. If everyone is cheating, and UF is the only one not cheating, then the UF staff is playing with one arm tied behind their back, and I doubt they would do that to themselves.

That is just some UF fans trying to use the moral high ground to justify below average recruiting, on paper, IMO.

My statement was tongue in cheek but I believe it to be at least partially true. A large part at that. It is the reason Meyer was always so stressed out and the reason we lose recruits to Clemson and Auburn. No one in their right mind is going to play for Gus in Auburn Alabama over Florida. Auburn has cheated forever, it is in their blood. We cleaned house from all our cheating days. Believe me it goes on all the time and we don't put up with it. Foley would cut a booster off from the program if he gets wind that there is something going on in the form of extra benefits. Other programs look the other way.

Positive: We should have an improved offense next season, how much I have no idea.

Negative: Our recruiting is abysmal and if it doesn't turn around quickly we will be hurting for quite a few more years.

110% positivew...of course

Gee I cant think of negatives really and I will share why:

yes, recruiting appears to be off par...but look deeper and you will see we have filled needs every single time in the short tenure of Mac and staff. OL? We went out and got some depth and talented players who werent really highly rated, what I call "gems".

Yes, we have had some bad losses no doubt...but Spurrier lost to UT in his first year (1990) 45-3 after tariling only 3-7 at the half...he also lost the following year to Syracuse and usually had a beating from the girls school, who he had a losing record to.

Offensively we have been bad...but why? It aint play calling as much as some think...and it isnt QB driven either...its the ineptness of our run game folks. And why is that? One thing only....OL...that will improve and once we can run the game and keep sticks moving...our offense will be better regardless of the QB. And I think there is more than a 50% chance that Del Rio will start next year and we will slowly include Franks in some series to get him ready for mid year. Its just the way things are...QBs have to learn on the field and you dont want Ls while he is learning.

The Arkansas game may have been out worst game of the year. Very early in the game the rushing attach was working but we tried to pass the ball .

I am neutral on the team . This is the year we find out if Mac is the coach of the future in my opinion.

My negative would be Del rio being named the starting QB before the season starts. I think that would kill a lot of people's excitement .

No, losses would kill fans excitement...a win is the goal. Del Rio isnt the long term QB by any means...he doesnt possess the strong arm...but hell Wuerffel had a weak arm too. If you throw accurately and use Del Rio as a game manager with his experience we can be fine until young Franks is ready...if on the other hand, Franks starts game one? It means the coaches have a lot of confidence in him.

Mac isnt gonna start a r/s frosh just to make fans happy I can tell you that right now. He wants to win games and slug it out in the trenches where games are won. I hope Franks has been working hard in the weight room to get his body ready to take punishment in the SEC with his 6'6" frame.

This is a skill that should already be developed at this point in Del Rio's career. Del Rio is not Wuerffel or even Leak. Noah Brindise was a more accurate thrower than Del Rio.

If Franks or Trask is not the guy next year, a change needs to be made at OC / QB coach. Both will have gone through two spring practices in the same offensive system. Both have arm talent and have shown accuracy especially Trask.

One of them should be able to beat out a former walk on, if not then that is on Mac and Nuss for bringing them in instead of someone else.

Who knows maybe Allen or toney come on right away and steal the job. It's a 100% mystery right now.

I would disagree, both Jeff Cardozo and Doug Johnson have said that Franks has the lead on being the starter for next year from what they have seen and in talks with the coaching staff. They both have a ton more access than the UF reporters on any website.

A lot of the same people said LDR would be a good QB as well.

I'll believe it when I see it with my own eyes.

Doug always brought up the lack of arm talent with Del Rio.

It is WRUF, so they are going to be more on the homer side of things.
