If Pease gets fired along with Dan Mullen at Miss St would you want to bring Mullen back as Florida's Offensive Coordinator?

I'm going to be nice. The answer is hell no. It's also clear that you don't know much about UF Football and that is fine.

I'm just saying at least he is a proven guy...Pease hasn't done anything at UF expect play conservative calls all game long

To Mullen succeed here we're going to have to change the offense( and the style of players we recruit). We have just got through most of them this year. That would be a two year rebuilding process, and Muschamp ( and the team) don't have that kind of time.

Thoughts on Jeff Tedford?

He's available. He'd probably be willing to take an OC job since no one tried to hire him as an HC after Cal. He's not too old I don't think (50s?). He has a great reputation of producing QBs, while still having a strong running game. I don't know if he has any ties to the SEC/UF though

He doesn't have any ties to the South that I'm aware of.

Sure Ted...come relocate across country for a job that has no security and may last 1 year...right right. He would be the next punching bag anyway as soon as UF :fans" have to suffer a loss.

Come on guys..,.I am disappointed in some of the posters lack of internal knowledge of hiring coaching staff and what is/not feasible. File this one under NOT.

What does he have to lose? He's sitting on his arse right now. If someone offered me $300k+ to move across the country on a possible one-off job, I'd gladly take it

Exactly, not to mention that highly sought after coordinators that get hired in a coaches "do or die" year usually will get a 200k buyout if the headcoach gets fired as sort of an insurance policy. Thats 500k easy money.

I don't think you understand how coaching contracts work. UF could give him a 2 or 3 yr deal, and promise a pay out if WM didn't stick around. This is how UF can still get a reputable guy to come and be the next OC. No reputable or good OC is going to come for a 1 yr contract, not with the HC's situation.

What you are missing is that if we signed a multiple year deal with OC (and I do understand how contracts work btw)...if Boom is let go next year then we owe him 12 mil or so plus the OC's balance? Not good math and Foley didn't get to where he is at by being dumb.

Doesn't matter to me personally WHO the OC is...if Muschamp wants to change staff...he will. He has full support to do what HE wants and will live or die by that decision. None of us are privy to the daily practices, meetings that the staff conduct each day.

Quite frankly, if we don't improve on the field next year...then I will be holding the door open for Booms exit. Don't think I will have to either.
If we have 10-11 win game season then that will vindicate Boom and folks are gonna have to learn that he is a good coach....which is what I think. He made our team tough as nails in one year. That's remarkable and he has the concept of tough hard nose football as his foundation. I concur.

I fully support WM.

I was just saying, it isn't impossible to bring in a reputable OC. Foley would just have to get creative.
