Who replaces him?

What happens to the defensive recruits? Do they head for the hills of North Georgia? Please say yes.

I'd guess Shannon will be promoted. He's already co-defensive coordinator, whatever that entails.

Yeah, Shannon probably gets promoted, which I'm good with. He's really the biggest recruiter anyway for defense, so as long as we keep him here for a couple more years by promoting him, then great.

Well, we needed a DB coach who was good and could recruit. Mac got Grey.

Who are some names for LB coach who fits the bill??

Im guessing Shannon is DC now

My guess is that Skipper moves back to LB coach.

I assume Shannon will be the replacement. He already was a really good DC (albeit bad head coach) at Miami. Plus he already holds the co-DC title.

At todays presser
Coach said "we have some things already in the works."
That tells me he has an outside guy lined up. If not why not just say Coach Shannon will be taking over?

Just wierd to me for him to say it that way if Shannon is being bumped up or over or whatever

Per multiple Gator writers that Nord might be DC for the bowl game which to me is weird. Also heard Dixon may go with Collins to Temple. Mac also said Shannon is absolutely a candidate for DC. Good news Strickland gave the go ahead to increase the off the field staff/personnel.

It is interesting that Shannon, the Co DC isnt just taking the full reigns and moving on.

That is how I interpreted that as well. I don't really see a reason to go any direction besides Shannon unless it's for a huge name

Shannon likely promoted.

The position coaches will be what UF fans need to watch for.
