I don't. I wish they wouldn't because it's kind of weird protesting a country based on inequality when you're a millionaire, who was given a scholarship to get a prime education at a major institute.

But I just don't care.

I honestly couldn't care less.

The only thing that pisses me off is that I disliked Colin Kaepernick before if was cool.

They took a knee for the Anthem yet stood for God save the Queen. I guess history class wasnt a requirement in their education.

Ignorant assholes

frick em and anybody else. If anybody has a complaint about oppression, it's not the millionaire athletes. It's fake outrage.

I have watched my last NFL game until this self serving childishness is over. Not showing respect for the flag of the country that enables you to make millions of dollars while playing a game and to live better than 99.99999% of the rest of world is inexcusable. Frick em all!

It's just a flag. Let them protest it's their right. You want to rob yourself of football that's your right. Just seems silly to me.

Im prior military and NO, its not "just a flag"

Tell that to the families that have been ripped apart over the deaths of those braver than you so you can sit and not rob yourself of football every weekend.

I lost friends in Iraq and i know ppl who came home missing limbs, forever scarred. For that Flag

Wrong, it's the flag of the United States of America and people have died to defend it. Standing for 2 minutes while the anthem is played shows your respect for those people and the country that you live in. Protest another way, like donating part of your million dollars you earn in this terrible country to a charity or something. These players are spoiled, selfish, privileged brats who want to feel like they are oppressed and part of the masses.
What is sad, not silly, is people who don't think that this is more important than whether to watch a football game or not. I will gladly give up watching a game full of disrespectful, spoiled brats and never think twice about it.

I'm ex-military, too, and it...doesn't really bother me. That's their right, ultimately, but as I said: Complaining about being a millionaire does seem a bit silly.

I won't boycott the NFL, as I watch their games through streams (Mexico doesn't have the best NFL coverage) -- and I'm glad that they're allowed to express their opinion. It gets us debating and makes us more introspective.

But I can't be offended over it, not enough to upset me. Just dudes looking for attention, and that's cool. It's a sport designed for attention.

All the pro leagues and colleges to some degree understand is the all mighty dollar.
Boycotting is all we as fans can do. This issue is bigger than Libs want to make it. It is just another step in the erosion of our country, pride in our country and our history. Do what you want but I hope there are enough of us that take this serious to cause the NFL to stop this "look at me" childishness.

Those men died for their country and for an idea, not just a fricking flag. The flag is a representation of something greater. Like the right to protest.

Sorry- you don't get to tell people how to protest. That's the whole point.

What is important is people's right to protest. That's worth defending.

A flag is just a symbol of that right.

Also PS - I may not be military myself but I grew up in a military family (both parents) and have met a ton of military people from multiple continents that agree with my sentiment on this.

I dont see these spoiled fkrs doing shite in their community to bring ppl together. No they just sat on their entitled asses and spat in the face of every American who died so they can walk around bitching about oppression while they drive Hummers and fly first class around the world.

Listen, you're missing the point.

If it makes him feel at peace in his own mind, then that's his right to protest. He isn't hurting anyone by protesting, except himself. Maybe the image of the NFL, but no one is going to lose sleep over that. I mean if murder, rape, and assault don't ruin the image of the NFL a little thing like protesting the national anthem is like a little droplet in an ocean of shite.

His protest has certainly generated a lot of conversation, which, I think, is a good thing, and the first step of any change process.

Maybe we should all spend more time talking about it rather than choosing to be super offended.
