The Fightin’ Gators figure to be the Hurtin’ Gators for Saturday’s game against arch-rival Florida State.
Florida coach Jim McElwain went over the longest injury list of the season Monday, one that added up to 11 players and included standout tackle Jon Bullard and five other defensive linemen.
“Injury-wise, get your pens and papers ready. This is the first time we’ve kind of been through a list of this magnitude,” McElwain said.
McElwain then announced that defensive end Alex McCalister (ankle) is out and that Bullard (knee), defensive tackle Taven Bryan (ankle) and defensive end Jordan Sherit (hamstring) are probably out. Two other defensive linemen are also on the list. Tackle Joey Ivie (leg) is questionable to doubtful and tackle Caleb Brantley (abdomen/groin) is probable.
The offensive line also has been hit hard by injuries, leaving three starters — guard Martez Ivey (shoulder), center Cam Dillard (leg) and tackle David Sharpe (foot) — questionable for Saturday’s game.
Filling out the injury list are starting slot receiver Brandon Powell (foot) and starting middle linebacker Antonio Morrison (abdomen/hamstring). Powell is questionable, while Morrison is probable.
McElwain said he will have a better idea later in the week just how short-handed the Gators will be Saturday
Four DL out would be awful. Lets hope some of these guys heal...but just missing MacCallister is bad and Bullard & Brantley stop the run. If we are without even two OL we are fricked. Oh well...it is what is. Riles and others will need to be ready.

What are the chances that Mac is being less than honest for gamesmanship reasons?

Bullard was "probably out" when we played South Carolina too.
Just saying...

Very good.
I would say they have some type of injury

Bullard played but reaggravated his injury. The O-line injuries concern me a lot. You saw what FAU did to us with a patchwork O-line. We wont have any depth on DL which will hurt late in the game. If we can use the gameplan Clemson did in the 2nd half and what BC did we might be alright.

I agree that some of these players may play but McElwain was adamant about MacCallister and a few others ;like Sherit. I just hope we cqan hold everything together with string, tape and bailing wire.
Even if Bullard & Brantley play...they may have diminished snap counts and those two hold up our middle...freaking Cook could have field day if our middle is weak. Stopping him is all important.

UF just needs to show up and fight like they have done every other game this year.
They do that and they have a chance.

Wonder what the difference is between "probably out" and "questionable". Then there's also "questionable to doubtful" for Ivie.
The Monday reports seem to be a crapshoot, we should know something in tomorrow's injury report.

After watching the press conference, seemed like he winged a lot of this. I got the feeling everyone besides McCallister has a good chance of playing.
"McCallister will still be out
Taven Bryan will probably be out
Bullard... Jordan Sherit
Should know about Martez Ivey today but he should be highly questionably
Joey Ivie, we'll see if he can get through this week but that that would be probably questionable.. to doubtful
Brandon Powell on his foot
Antonio would probably be probable and yet we'll see as the week goes on
David Sharp... probably, shrugs, i dont know, questionable
Brantley should be back
Cam Dilliard with a leg, probably questionable"
A reporter did follow up on Bullard and he said probably out while shrugging his shoulders.

Bullard is my main concern. Even if he plays...it may be limited snaps and we really need him to stop the run. Its going to be Brantley at the other DT and lets cross our fingers.
