14 Florida St. - L 2-27
1 Alabama - L 15-29
12 Michigan - L 7-41
14 Tennessee - L 28-38

Florida isn't ready for the big time yet, I guess. On offense or defense. Interesting to see where they go from here. They have Vanderbilt next - so that's good news.

LSU at home basically makes or breaks the season in 2 weeks. With the way UT is playing you can't lose more than 1 SEC game and still win the east.

Given how UF has played against p5 teams with winning records, I'm not overly optimistic though.

We were never ready.

I said in 2017 UF will be back.

We shall see. I have my doubts about this staff - I've had them since last year, and games like this don't do anything to make me more confident.

No doubt.

This loss is on the coaching staff.

To be fair - and I posted this elsewhere - how could they have predicted a total defensive meltdown?

I didn't see that happening. But they gave up 4 big play TDs in a 10 minute span. That was crazy - and it was not on coaching - players just got beat.

The defense was on the field the entire 2nd half because of the stupid play calling.

Sure the blown coverages hurt, but if the coaching staff doesn't go full retard the defense is not in that position.

Won't be ready until we have a good oline. Oline was absolute dogshit the last 3 years due to bad recruiting and injuries.

The entire defensive backfield needs to stfu and prepare for the game. They were embarrassed today. Pathetic

Next year is gonna be a mess. The entire defense will almost be gone and this offense is average. Mac needs to clean house. We won't win big with this staff.

Wrong TJ...we have a good defense...better than you think...but not quite as elite asthis years....but our offense will be much better and the Oline should be MUCH better.

I got a tequila hangover damn it

Defense is elite.

But any defense will crack with that offensive performance in the 3rd Q.

An elite D doesn't give up 28 points in 7.5 minutes, 400 yards in the second half along with 35 points and almost 400 yards of offense to Josh Dobbs the 12th ranked passer in the SEC

TJ....man how do I teach you football? Our offense was a 3 and out machine in the second half and it affects the defense mentally and physically....did you WATCH our defense in the first half ??? UT had first and goal at the 2 yd line and could not score after Calloway brainfarted.

Yes, Mac is 1-5 against ranked opponents but look at who was playing QB in those losses. Need to get talent in here. I'm more concerned with his recruiting than the coaching right now.

Chip does not give 2 fricks about defense.

That hasn't changed from Oregon, to the Eagles, to the 49ers.

No thanks.

Defense is largely based on the talent you have. On offense you can scheme ways to manufacture yards via dbl team blocks, misdirection ect. Defense is pretty much the jimmys and joe's.

A slower 3 star db cant cover a 5 star WR no matter how well you coach him up.

I dont think Chip didnt try at Oregon to field a defense, he just didnt have the talent. This is a big misconception with coaches known for offense at smaller school ala Kliff @TT, Leach @WaSt ect. They all have one thing in common. little to no talent on the roster.

Hell over half of Leach's QBs are walk-ons.
