Here's a 3 year old article that i find pretty ironic...

LINK

quote:

Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher is the best offensive assistant that has gone through the Saban car wash as his success with Saban has only been superseded by his success post Saban. His penchant for developing first-round quarterback selections is uncanny, and the best is yet to come with former Heisman winner Jameis Winston set to be potentially the first-overall pick in this coming draft (or next?!).

But it’s McElwain who is beginning to look like Fisher’s equal with his success at CSU and the landing of a prestigious job like the one he has with UF.

Fisher's equal, eh?

27-2 FSU & 31-13 FSU certainly looks like equals.

Reading and comprehension is not strong on this site...

Pretty sure it means as a Coach, not the teams themselves being equal. Obviously this was written soon after Mac accepted the job at UF.

and the ironic part, at least in my eyes, is that he hasn't even lived up to it. try to keep up...

Equal in Coaching ability based on what he did at Bama and CoSt with their offenses. Yet, you proceed to post scores of the games played with each HC in different points of their tenures with their current teams. Ofcourse Mac wasnt going to beat a loaded FSU team with the team that was in major rebuild mode upon his arrival in seasons 1-2

I didn't expect him to beat FSU either year. He isn't good enough to win vs good teams. As shown his entire career here.

Because we havent had a team that was on par with the top teams perhaps
We had zero oline, 1 Qb who popped with a wr pretending to play QB behind him.

Youre not going to win vs Bama and FSU lacking in the trenches and without a QB.
Period. Why is this so fkn hard to understand??

If there is anything that McElwain's critics cannot understand, cannot comprehend and cannot even begin to fathom it's the word context.

''Georgia has a Freshman quarterback who's doing okay.........with seniors at every position.''

''Harbaugh's getting the job done! *Ow, my quarterback.* Okay Harbaugh has one of the worst offenses in college football.''

''Jimbo Fisher's lighting it up at FSU while we're stuck with our terrible recruiting! *Ouch, my quarterback.* Their offense is literally worse than ours.''

Oh and by the way, we're tied with FSU at 3 wins this year -- so apparently they're not *that* wrong.

So you are claiming he has no ability to out coach and have his players rise to a challenge?

If he needs equal talent, we are absolutely screwed. He still is way behind the eight ball in recruiting because of two bad years.

So apparently, Mac can't beat good teams unless he has as much talent as them. Good. We will literally never beat FSU, Georgia, or Bama.

We should keep him for ten more years guys. He does beat Vandy after all!

Yet Saban needs top classes to win titles.
Urban won with one of the best college players ever
Please by all means name a HC consistantly beating top talented teams with scrubs. Ill wait

You sound really fkn stupid right now.
