This. Jesus Christ, some posters here have become fricking unbelievably sensitive.

I'm not saying don't have doubts, don't have problems, don't be undecided. It's just bizarre how everything is cast into a negative light from time to time.

Literally, for months, I heard how bad he was at recruiting -- and our on the field production for defense was there. So maybe I am a little reactionary, forgive me for that.

Gonna give myself a couple of weeks away from this board. Gotta reassess how much I really love football after the devastation of watching my team blow a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl. Absolutely crushed.

I told my co-worker. I guess Quinn learned from Carroll how to hand the SB to the Pats.

smh

Great game by NE, but with an 8 pt lead in fg range, you take the 3 and make em score twice. You run the ball with Lynch on the other one.

You need both. Isn't that obvious?

Right, this is such a false dichotomy-- it comes up all the time on Florida boards too-- "You don't like Mac's recruiting would you prefer Boom or Zook, they brought in the stars"

That's not the only option, you can-- and title winning coaches do-- regularly bring Top 5 classes and still have good play calling and instruction.

Speaking of people who struggle at both play calling and recruiting-- why can't we just offer Co-OC to guys like Cristobal and Locksley, its not like Nuss is a Spurrier or even Mullen play caller what exactly would the loss be-- "oh no, now Nuss can't go for a 4th consecutive offense outside the top 100"

Nord, Dixon, and Skipper contracts expired on the 31st. I would think it's either Nord or Dixon on the outs, may be both I suppose. We shall see.

What does Nord do on a day to day basis for the program? I don't mean that to be rude, I just don't really get what the guy adds.

Of course you dont get it...but idiots on other message boards have been assailing him non stop and partly becausew of his age...they are what I call..the peanut gallery...they nitpick every fricking things. Teeth gnashing and hand wringing and clucking like a 88 yr old grandmother.

So now he is being singled out as dead weight...and this from desk jockeys who have never met the man....so its picked up and folks like yourself think its the gospel or wonder about his performance...or you wouldnt have brought it up.

Mac can make decisions that HE deems necessary. He must think Nuss is doing a very good job and you CANNOT judge a OC when he has had nothing but underclassmen to block. This year is different...we should have four upperclassmen (jrs) and a soph starting if the injury bug doesnt strike.

Patience is an acquired trait...fricking boards in Dec/Jan were unbearable with the idiots stating "recruiting sucks, coaches suck, sky is falling, we are doomed, coaches suck, recruiting sucks" on and on. Everything turned out fine in the end. And montana you are wrong about recruiting rankings and NCs...you might wanna look at the countless threads about how Clemson didnt really do all that well for most of his tenure. Ands these 5 star recruits that are all nice and shiny are 10 star headcases.

Davis was very good in the new assistant coach presser. I bought into what he was saying.

Man...Davis is the MAN!!!! I see great things this year for OL and for our team...Seider is also a winner...Bell is a little more reserved in public speaking but has his convictions and beliefs in how to get us stay DBU.

Should be a fun year in 2017 especially with a OL that is going to be more confident from a maturity and coaching aspect.

Gonna lay down the gaunlet and predict top 30 offense at the end of the year or damn close.
