This game was just like the 03 meltdown against Miami. Nuss is calling 5 yard out routes on 3 &8 down 10. There was zero adjustment by the staff. They share A LOT OF THE BLAME.

Reel if the OL is lazy up 21-3 isn't the coaches job to motivate them? Isn't the coaches who went conservative? TN adjusted and it showed. 3 yards in the 3 qtr given up by their D. 35 points and 400 yards in the 2nd half by ours. You're wrong if you think this just an sec game. Mac thought that and look what happened. Meyer and Saban circled these games because they set the foundation for sec Play. 2-3 more losses are in order if this staff and team don't adjust.

Stop blaming coaches....its quite simple...you get a 21-3 lead and the fat OL think the games is over...

Totally with Reel on this one but I go one step further and say that the defense shut down, too.

If they can't score from the two yard line, how will they score in any other way? They got full of themselves, they were sleepwalking.

I remember one year, when I was younger, my mom left a game against FSU early to go suntanning while my dad (an FSU fan) stayed and she couldn't understand why he was screaming.

In 1994, we had a 31 - 3 lead IN THE FOURTH QUARTER.

The Seminoles came back to a draw, scoring 4 touchdowns to tie it up at 31 - 31.

And no one says Spurrier was a bad coach at that time. No one said this shite. I'm ending it on this:

They're kids. This is normal.

Nussmeier needs to be gone, it was nice for Mac to give his buddy a job after he was forced out/fired from his previous two jobs as an OC but he's just not a good coach and he's not a good enough recruiter to live with the dead weight.

Honestly, Mac is on the verge of being in trouble- if he doesn't go at least 2-2 vs. LSU, UGA, Arkansas and FSU he's going to be in a bad place entering year 3 given that its likely a rebuilding season with all the losses on defense-- coupled with his below average recruiting (literally middle of the pack in the SEC which given the advantages he has recruiting for Florida is mind boggling).

Playcalling was suspect but the OL completely stopped blocking in the second half.

They feed off of each other-- a shaky O-line probably made Nuss and Mac more conservative once we had the lead, but the predictable play-calling made the line look a lot worse-- its hard to open holes when the Defense can just run blitz and stack the box-- see, the Boom era.

rebuilding season

This is a rebuilding season. 0 Quarterbacks who were with us last year. Still more underclassmen on the Oline than upper.

The recruiting can be blamed on someone else, temper expectations guys, seriously.

Yeah - the 2nd half adjustments by the offensive coaching staff were comically bad.

Of course - how could they have predicted their defense would totally shite the bed?

I mean our starters probably got worn down after the 4th straight 3 and out and due to Mac's lack of recruiting ability our back ups aren't Florida level players.

Next year could get really, really scary- Duke Dawson could be our best corner and we could start true freshman at LB.

Reel- you never blame the coaches man, you probably still think Muschamp got a bad deal.

Next year we'll probably only have 3 or 4 returning starters on defense, and a new starting QB (Appleby looked a hell of a lot better than Del Rio ever did-- watching him play just highlights how much Luke's lack of arm strength alters the playbook and Del Rio isn't accurate enough to make up for it)

I'm a strong believer in thinking we get totally embarrassed by Michigan next year.... again. We may never win another championship in football.

Okay, you idiots need to get off the internet for a while.

So stupid.

The streak was always going to end at some point. We lost. DWI.

And people say I'm negative on here. Good grief.

Sorry Montana, was taking an nap while you were chirping away. Take a sedative or a laxative relax. Should we line up the coaches for the firing squad to make YOU feel better? There isnt a Gator fan in the country more passionate than I am and believe it, I hurt when we lose, but its the same shiot and same color everytime we lose a game. Fire this and fire that.

I am older than most of you...just about 70 yrs old (but still full of piss and vinegar) and I have witness so many losses since 1962 and I mean BAD losses...the kids today would be horrified, why? Because they are spoiled and dont know shiot.

No one EVER called for coaches heads in the 1960s when we lost and even into the 1970s unless it was continually happening..Doug Dickey survived awful seasons....he would have never had the chance to in todays world. Fans were true fans and loved their teams with a passion. I went from 1962 to 1984 without a SEC title when there was only ten SEC schools! Then the SEC title was vacated...I still have the 1984 team SEC Coke bottle never opened. So I waited til 1991 to see it come true.

Try a 51-0 loss to UGA or try an 0-10-1 season and get back with me. Its the same kneejerk reaction...the blame game. What kind of fan are you? Not you Montanta but in general? LSU fans are the worse but I do agree Les is now done. After we beat them in the Swamp he will be toast.

Next year we will be ok...we have a lot of frosh LBs now who will be damn good players, Reese, Moon and Joseph, and Analzone may be back for his senior year to increase draft status since this is his first full year healthy.
Putu will be one cb, safeties will be Washington and probably Gardner, then we have Dawson.... The DL will still be awesome CeCe will be a true junior, Sherit should be back,Zuniga, Clark, Davis, Clayton, Smith & Polite, Bryan, Reed...we are stocked. And offense? Holy Moly! We basically have the entire O back. Geez.

And oh....I will be there at the LSU game with my stepson and I screaming....and proud to be a Gator!

Which is exactly what we've been saying for the last 2 years.

2017 is the year UF should be back.

The team played horrible . Everyone is to blame how the team played that game. The OL was horrible and the defense looked average at best.

Did you not catch the first half? We dominated them...so to say we were horrible is 1/2 true ...that was NOT an average defense in the first half my friend.

Let me remind you of something. The year we're supposed to be "back", Saban will still be the coach in T-Town more than likely. We aren't going anywhere while he still resides there.

Coach Mac hasn't shown me anything that lets me know he has enough whit to be able to take him down. Has he improved the offense? Certainly. Is it enough? Not a chance in hell.

The second half decision making yesterday when we went 3 & out when it was 21-17 should've told him that something was wrong. But no, he was just a stubborn dumb frick that stayed the course until the 4th qtr clock said 0:00. We should of easily won that game.

Yelling for the coaches head is largely about a search for efficacy where fans ultimately have none. The truth is that Mac is our coach through at least 2017 and probably 2018 more than likely. I think everyone knows that deep down, but it is hard to admit that when you are so connected to something and have virtually no influence in its outcome. Personally, I'd rather just stay positive because what I think matters not one iota; the 2017 and 2018 recruiting classes will be shaped by Mac being here.

I also remember the Shula years at Bama and people talking about how they were through - Tuscaloosa didn't have the draw of a program like USC or even Florida at the time, just a dinosaur living of its legacy. Seems like a lifetime ago, but it was really only 10 years. And it wasn't just some fringe saying that. However, Alabama had a good organization overall, grabbed the right guy at the right time (and seemingly lost in history, Saban wasn't even Bama's first choice: a refresher LINK ).

As long as the overall organization is strong, which I believe it is, and the administration is behind the program, which I feel is very much the case, we'll be back. Like everyone else, I'd much prefer it sooner than later, but I am not in the camp that thinks that if Mac winds up a bust that we are damned forever. Urban left a situation not unlike what Mack Brown left at Texas IMO. Texas looks like it may have gotten it right with Strong (who the boosters have tried like hell to dump for three years now). Foley got it wrong with Muschamp, who, regardless of hindsight now, was a hot commodity in those days. We were pretty far out in the weeds when Mac showed up. Next year the OL play should be a good indicator of whether or not we're back on the fairway. And if we're not, that's when I'll start getting worked up over coaches beyond the usual profanity and curses I utter in the heat of the game.

If you want to feel better, tune into WWL in Louisiana right now. Good lord, corndogs are insane!
