OL John Campbell recently picked up an offer from Alabama. Said he has best connection with Gators OL coach Brad Davis.

Watch for 4 star safety CJ Smith to commit to UF soon.

I expect our DB class to be: Smith, 4 star Amari Burney, and us to keep soon to be 4 star Divaad Wilson (I think he's already a 4 star on Rivals and I think that he will be on 247 soon). I don't think we take any more DBs this cycle, except for 5 star DB Tyreke Johnson from Trinity Christian in Jacksonville if he wants in the class.

I'm waiting on more clarity on what the coaches are thinking for numbers at all the other positions. I'm sure we want 2 quarterbacks and I'm banking on Joe Milton being one of them. He's 6'6 220 and has a cannon and he is about to blow up. I hope we make a run after Justin Fields too, he's committed to Penn State but has supposedly shown interest in UF. I think we're after 1 running back, 3 WR (Jacob Copeland and Warren Thompson are our top targets im assuming to go with already committed Jaylynn Williams who finished 7th overall out of more than 300 at the opening Orlando), 4 OL including Cleveland Reed, William Barnes, Reuben Unije, Nicholas Petite-Frier, and the one MD mentioned above from Dr Phillips Orlando. 3 DE (no idea what the board looks like there), 3 LB (no idea what the board looks like there), and a kicker. That would be 20-21 people in the class, which is all we can take this year pending transfers and such.

Florida has slowed down it's recruitment of QB Artur Sitkowski. Seems as if UF may be pushing for QB Joe Milton at this time.

Sitowski is a boom or bust prospect-- if he tears it up at IMG he could be a top 3 QB prospect, if he struggles he might plummet like Jake Allen did

I didn't understand the Jake Allen fall. He was good his senior year outside of the Bishop Gorman game. I don't know if he'll ever play a down at UF, but I think if he was a Bama QB commit he would've been a 4 star (See Mac Jones, who had no business being a 4 star)

I was really high on Sitkowski when I saw him throw at FNL last year, but after I saw that he threw 5 TDs and 10 INTs as a junior, I realized that he sounds a lot like a Driskel type. Hell, even Driskel had incredible stats in high school.

Being that Thompson is gone after 2017, and thed possibility that Scarlett could really have a great year....we will take RBs...we need a power bacxk with bulk...remember that even if Scarlett stays for senior season...he will be gone after 2018,,,our two big backs are Scarlett & Thompson and Perine is a hydrid tough runner with good eyesight...but need 235 lbs 6' types.

Depending on how well Franks does...we may only take 1 QB.

You're definitely getting Milton. Miami's priority at qb is Sitkowski.

Copeland is going to be an annoying as hell recruitment. Rumored he's already tried silently committing to Clemson and Miami. But Miami wants Pope, Hightower, Wiggins, and XWilliams. Thompson, Copeland, and Elijah Moore would be a legit af class for UF. Florida more Loaded than normal at skill positions.

in Orlando last week Reed and Barnes did well, but that Campbell kid from Phillips lost every rep....but no pads so meaningless I guess.

I'm a lot higher on Reed, Barnes, and Unije than I am Campbell just because of the films. Those first three guys have that nastiness and physicality that you like. Campbell seems like the body type you want in a tackle, but I didn't see the same nastiness in his film. Maybe that'll get better in his senior year.

I like Milton and I hope we make a run at Fields, Emory Jones, etc. I think the staff is leaning towards those guys more than Sitkowski now. Sitkowski is your prototypical QB body and has a cannon, I just worry about the production

Milton can be really really good too. You can see his natural playmaking ability and arm strength, and you simply can't coach 6'6 220 lb with speed. The staffs pause with him seems to be his ability to read a defense. I say sign him up and you teach him how to read defenses when he gets on campus.

Would be a nice get. Is he eligible to play this year or does he have to sit out?

Why did he transfer? It says that ''it just wasn't for him''? Nevertheless, I'm happy to have him in the family. We needed some help on the line.

Was it not due to his injury, though? Or is this kind of a similar thing to Cam where the backup comes in and does better?

He started 8 games, hurt his shoulder, and the back up took advantage of his opportunity. Glad to have him on the team, for quality depth if nothing else

Plant high school in Tampa has not been fertile grounds for us in a long long time. For those of you not aware of Tampa high schools...Plant is "old money" just south of Dale Mabry and Kennedy Blvd. Palma Ceia/Davis Island area and has the more wealth than other parts of Tampa.

We are after a few recruits in Tampa and its good to see the bay area produce top talent again. Jefferson, Armwood, Hillsborough, Seffner etc etc all have talent.

Plant's HC hated Urbs. Muschamp was unable to repair the situation. Hopefully Mac and crew can do that.

UF is going after Trace Armstrong's son who is a 3* DE/TE.
