Hoping we snag some talent that need positions. dont care about rankings, did we get positions of need? I am more concerned about TE than anything else....losing Byrd is a hit...we have to get at least two TEs next year, or even three of them. Right now we have four upperclassmen at TE.
We really dont have pressing need for OL and our roster will scare off some of the better ones. Next year though we may need at least four or five to restock. We could even r/s two of them if need be....but you always need OL for kicks and punts to a degree....smaller faster ones preferred on FGs and punts...TEs also are needed for special teams.
Tomorrow will bring some new Gators into the fold.

I saw this analogy for our class and I thought it summed it up really well:

Did we just sign an oft-injured 2 star LB? Did someone tell Mac these slots have to be used and can't be carried over so we're just battling the FIU and FAUs of the state?

He missed half the season with an injury (those do happen when you play football) but still made 1st team All-Dade 2 years in a row...
To my knowledge, he didn't do any of the camps, 7v7, "look at me and give me stars" stuff do to his injury. Go be negative somewhere else.

We're having a hell of a NSD so far and yet, here you are being negative. Don't look now, but our class is 12th on Rivals with us still set to land 2-3 more 4 star prospects.

Byrd not signing LOI today. When asked he says he still intends on going to Florida. Asked why he said he didn't want to talk about it.

We get Henderson. Lots of talk that when the Miami story broke that they were lying he moved back to us. He told Coach Mac last week be was going to Miami great pickup.

So far we have 11 of the top 100 in the state. Miami at 10. FSU at 9.

We are 11th now in rankings with 22 signees...Im happy and if we get another good one? Top 10 baby. A helluva day and we snuck into the University of Nu Jawsey @ Coral Gables, fondled their girls, took their cheese and the big screen TV with us!!!!!!! frick em.

i don't see us going higher than 10. we don't even have any 5 stars. however, i'm hopeful (not convinced) that we will have a good season this year based on this class.

This class is a huge improvement in the Tampa area. Not an are that UF has recruited well recently.
