Yeah I saw that but couldnt open his tweets for some reason.
I am old...that damn tweeting and social media is hard for me.. Oh BTW Conliffe is making his decision today around 3pm and Penn St was eliminated...we is looking good!
Be a solid DT pickup for us...and all the tea leaves point to us. Need Wyatt & Ray to complete DL....maybe the JUCO kid Young. Get Levi, 2 DBs and Im a happy camper.

Most class predictions seem to have the same core

Slaton
Lemons
Conliffe
Henderson (kinda a surprise)
Edwards (kinda a surprise)
Wyatt (I don't know how much I believe this)

All six of them are rated 4 stars by at least one service.

I haven't seen many people predict Ray to UF but I think that's because it's hard to pick against Saban for a 5 star from Alabama. It'd be a hell of a pull for us but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Chaisson the 5 star DE from Texas named us, LSU, and Texas to his top 3. We got the last visit. Probably nothing to see here, but you never know.

Levi Jones appears to be down to us or FSU he tweeted a picture of him in a UF sweatshirt and FSU sweatpants and said "decisions decisions". Most people think FSU, including me, but we'll see. If we miss on Jones I think that we take that 2 star LB from Miami Dade that's been hurt the last two years of high school.

Copeland is going to be a nice piece early in the 2018 class. The wide receivers in that class are absolutely loaded. So are the OL. We have a chance to make a splash with a class that can take around 30 guys.

Take a look at the rest of the post. Much better stuff in the rest of it than the one sentence you decided to post a reaction to

UF is not going to take 30 guys. I will not believe that will happen until it happens.

UF has 12 seniors on scholarship and currently 7 scholarships available as of today. UF has maybe 4 guys that could go pro as juniors. Maybe 5 if we are being extremely generous. Maybe 5-10 more transfers over a full year.

So
12+10+7+5 = 34 potential scholarships assuming UF doesn't land another player.

Most of those 7 open scholarships are going to be used, hopefully, so UF is now down to 27 scholarships, and that is assuming 10 transfers!!!! and 5 NFL draft picks.

UF will be lucky to get to 25 next year, just like this year.

10 transfers would be a lot in year 3-4 for a head coach.

If we take a full 25 man class this year, which would require 1 transfer to stay at 85 scholarships, we would have used our 25 initial counters for the year. That would mean for the 2018 class, we can't count any early enrollees back to the 2017 class. Basically next year we are absolutely capped at 25 again if we take 25 this year.

Only way we can take more than 25 in the future is if the year before we used less than our 25 initial counters on commits and transfers in for the year. That way you can count back some early enrollees to go above 25.

25 initial counters

This seems to only apply to UF. I think it was invented by UF writers as click bait articles for the start of the Silly Season. Never see initial counters brought up post NSD, it is all related to 85 total.

I mean I've seen the by-law they are referencing. It seems to be a thing. It also seems to be only a UF thing because we don't allow oversigning or grey/blue shirting. The grey/blue shirting is pretty much the way you get around this rule for the most part. An initial counter only applies once the actual scholarship is given, that's how the grey/blue shirting helps skirt the rule. That's how bama and tenn seem like they sign a bunch every year.

Still a lot of dead weight on the roster. I wouldn't be mad to see a couple of guys transfer out. Justus Reed, a WR, and a couple of OL. I don't think it's 10 guys, but I could see 5-6.

Wrong Atl...OL sometimes take a little while to progress and most are still young in OL years...so wouldnt want to discard anyone...and we dont want all starters on special team kicking and punting either. WRs sometimes pan out later, if a kid is underclassman...no we dont want them gone imo.

Does anyone have more background on the Robinson decision besides the vague "character concerns" rumors? Given the guy Stricklin approved at MSU last season I can't believe weed alone would do this

with Wyatt going to UGA, Gaddy twins out, Robinson out, it looks like UF is not going to fill the class.

Slaton
Conliffe
Edwards
Maybe Lemons
Brunson

A lot of people saying Byrd is not coming.

That is 21.

Possible extras include Ray, Henderson, Jones, or Blades, but no one is confident on any of the 4.

A class of 21, with the people listed above, would have put UF at about #21 in recruiting last year in the composite.
