Once we start having the 15-20 four and five stars in every class pan out, on top of the 10 or so 3 star guys getting developed into quality players, we will see the improvement. Right now we are building up to that point. Patience is key, because what we see now is nowhere near what the final result is going to be. It's being built up.

UF has never had 10 successful 3*s in a class. 1-2 yes. Mac can't recruit elite talent or staff. That's why he had to settle on Shannon for DC. Our 4-5* players aren't being developed. Just look at Cece, Ivey, Callaway and Scarlett. Good players who don't standout each game like a Christian Wilkons, Dalvin Cook, Derrius Guice, they have a great series or game but their inconsistent at best.

Our three stars have panned out well, and that's the most important piece. Developing players rather than neglecting them.

It is too early to say that IMO.

UF gave up 145 YPG on the ground this year. The worst since 2003. The pass defense was excellent and that was where UF had the most talent, both on paper and in real life.

Our LBs and DLs were banged up all year. Not an excuse but we were already thin at the position. And that was still good for 5th in the SEC. We weren't terrible in 2016.

2008 - 105
2009 - 100
2010 - 130
2011 - 132
2012 - 94
2013 - 142
2014 - 116
2015 - 128
2016 - 144

Maybe because those teams have had the same staff for several years and have a strong foundation in place? Not 6 OL.

Water is wet, TJ hates the Gators

We will see what the numbers look like next year. I see a pattern since 2014 of a team getting worse and worse against the run.

Defensive tackle is a huge issue and question mark headed into next year.

Need to add 2-3 more quality guys there and hope they can hold their own as freshmen and develop into better players as the season wears on and in their sophomore and junior years.

Davis and Ivey. The rest haven't done much to prove they're legit impacts other than Callaway, Taylor and Maybe Perine.

I love UF. I just call it like I see it. We had 13-15 OL THIS YEAR. FUCCKKKKKKK QUIT USING THAT GODDAMN EXCUSE!!!!!!!!

PLENTY OF TEAMS HAD INEXPERIENCE ON THE OL AND DID JUST FINE ON OFFENSE. NOT #116TH IN THE frickING NATION AND WORSE THAN 100th IN THE RZ.

#116-FLORIDA THAT IS WORSE THAN WM WORST YEAR ON OFFENSE.

The problem is we're arguably becoming less talented overall every year Mac remains in charge.

No, no its not, not for great teams. The majority of elite team rosters are 4 and 5 stars.

Hell for all people hold up the Callaway's and Davis's almost all of the truly all time great Gators(and players in general as of late) - the guys who led us to titles were 5 or at worst high 4 star players in the top 5 or top 10 at their position nationally.

It's just not as good a story so people don't talk about as much as the come from nowhere story.

Chris Leak and Tim Tebow- both extraordinarily highly touted out of HS and in the top 5 at their positions due to production not solely camps.

Brandon Spikes- 4/5 star
Harvin- #1 overall player nationally in some publications
Pouncey twins- 4 stars who came in with a 5 star
Rainey- that 5 star
Demps- 3 star but shot up really fast late aftwr setting World Record for u18 in 100m
Riley Cooper- high 4 star athlete
Aaron Hernandez- 4 star

etc.

This has held true for Mac as well with the exception of Taylor, Callaway, Davis and Quincy

Kelvin Taylor- 5 star
Robinson- 4 star
VH3- 5 star
Tabor - 4/5 star
Jefferson- 5 star
Keanu- 4 star
Harris- 4 star
Cleveland-4 star
Scarlett- 4 star
Anzalone- 4 Star
etc

TJ seems pretty bitter we had a good season and won our Bowl game.

Pull all the numbers out of your arse that you want
2 East titles in as many years is better than a 4 win season.

Keep you head in the sand all you want while ignoring the OL and QB situation we had when Mac arrived.
You bring up Clemson and their OL
No f ucking shite Sherlock, your O will do better when your QB makes defenses unable to stack the box. We havent had that since Grier, these bandaids will be ripped off next season.. You act like youve never watched a game. Defenses load up due to LDR and Appleby not scaring anyone

MAC HAD THE WORST OFFENSE THIS PAST YEAR THAN WM!!! THERE IS NO SPINNING THAT BS!!!!!! I've watched plenty of games. MAC UIS AN OFFENSE COACH AND JUST HAD THE WORST OFFENSE THAN THE WORST HC IN MODERN UF HISTORY!!! MAC WILL GO DOWN AS A WORSE RECRUITER AND HC THAN WM. #116 IN OFFENSE. PATHETIC. WINNING THE SEC IS THE GOAL NOT GETTING SLAUGHTERED BY BAMA AFTER BEATING A SHITTY EAST!!!! KEEP YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND!!

Youre more of an idiot than i thought if you think any team is going to win 4 games, change HCs and then beat Bama in the next two yrs.

Wow man

UF won 7 games in WM last year. I expect an offensive HC not finish behind the guy that just got fired who had less talent.
