That's not really how it works in Ga. We've had a population explosion with most of them being transplants. It's part of the reason the Braves rarely sell out. Most of the people in metro Atlanta aren't loyal to anything in Georgia. It's one reason we will never lock down the state.

I don't think he was talking about the kids in Atlanta primarily.

I heard their grade issues are resolved as well and we're the only school getting a visit from them in January, and it's the weekend before NSD.

Edit: should we tell the 4 star one we want him and the other one we don't want him because he's listed as a 3 star?

UF still has the potential to fill a solid class depending on how these visits go.

Does Slaton currently play DT? Have all the recruiting places just been projecting has an OL because they assumed that's what he'd do but he currently goes both ways?

He plays both. Supposedly a better OL but he wants to play DT.

I think we close with

James Robinson
Adarius Lemons
TJ Slaton (5 star on scout for the arse who said we don't land elite players)
Jared Parks
Chris Henderson
Brad Stewart
Kai Leon Herbert
Caleb Chandler
Tony Gray
Tyrone Truesdell
Levi Jones/Nick Smith
Surprise with one out of Devon Hunter/LaBryan Ray/Guy not being talked about now

That would be 11 four stars and 2 three stars and a hell of a close to the class. And none of those guys are real longshots save for Devon Hunter and Labryan Ray. But that may not be as long of a shot after OVs

Holy optimistic batman.

Alabama is actually, secretly, a fantastic opportunity for us.

We have a lot of visits to ponder and if we can sign 75% of them we will be in high cotton imo. We can offer playing time to almost everyone if they can just get basic schemes down pat.

DL is the one position that frosh can ease into the rotation a teaspoon at a time to get acclimated to big boy football and give breathers to upperclassmen..even if its just a few snaps. Like to see us rotate at least 10-12 on the DL.

When frosh know they can get on the field early it makes grueling workouts worth it and motivates them to bust their butts.

Clemson's recruiting class ranking since 2013

2013 Class - 15
2014 Class - 17
2015 Class - 9
2016 Class - 11

Florida's recruiting class ranking since 2013

2013 Class - 3
2014 Class - 9
2015 Class - 20
2016 Class - 12

Muschamps recruiting rankings were nice and all, but despite the "great" class ranking, he failed to sign great offensive players. Mac's recruiting is good enough as is to win a championship. It will be even better when we make these additions to the staff. I think we close with a top 12 class this year, and next years class we really start to see the fruits of having guys like Torrian Gray, Randy Shannon, Chris Rumph, and Mike Locksley recruiting for us.

Don't let some posters fool you, things are looking up for the Gators

Mac hasn't done the one thing yet that he needs to do to win big at Florida.

That's find a QB.

These rankings/lack of rankings and shite won't mean anything if a QB never materializes.

Why did Clemson win last night? Because they had a well coached offense, sure, but moreover, it was because they had an elite QB with good weapons around him.

Sometimes the QB issue is misleading...you just need a QB who will manage the game and not lose it. Hurts showed he was a true frosh and was 13 out of 31 passing for 131 yds.

Bama outrushed Clemson but in the fourth qt the special teams flipped to Clemson thanks to a poor punt after Bama started at its own 5 yd line. Field position is huge and Bama had it for 3 qts...but not the crucial 4th...but Clemson did march 87 yds for winning TD. BTW I wonder how many stars Renfrow had coming out of high school? Bama's D was on the field for way way too many snaps...cant expect a defense to hold up to 85+ snaps and not be worn down.

My biggest worry this year is that Franks is still not quite ready to pilot the battleship...and that will still make the offense look so so....thats why I think Del Rio might start a few games and Franks comes in as a backup and learns in limited action til he is ready. We will find out in Sept. Del Rio was money in spring game and early on in 2016..but he regressed.

The coaches will see whats what on the practice field in spring/fall.
