Where did all the walk ons come from?

With Orth's first start of his career at QB, I thought I'd reflect on just how many walk on's have been given a shot at playing time, especially during the Spurrier era. Instead of asking why this is becoming the norm here I want to hear who your favorite walk on in the past and present?
Mine was Bryce Sherman (a la Cory Bridges) and Hayden Hurst (2016's starting TE)

If Orth can muster a few wins this season, he's my favorite of the present.
My favorite of the Spurrier era is Patrick DiMarco. Yeah, I know he's not a walk-on, seeing as how he had a scholarship, but he was a barely recruited 2-star, who wound up being the only fullback we've ever had in Spurrier's offense. Combine that with the fact that he was undrafted, and is lighting people up in the NFL, and he's got my vote. Guy was a seriously underrated player for Carolina, and he's done quite well for himself in the NFL.
Something that often gets lost in the shuffle with walk-ons/lightly recruited guys is that they have a ton of heart. It takes a great deal of moxie to get beat up in practice every day with little chance of ever playing in a game, all while taking out student loans and actually having to work hard in class. By their very definition they lack talent, but they certainly work hard, and can set a great example for the rest of the team. Maybe Orth can use that to his advantage as he has the reins for most of the rest of the season.

He plays with a sense of urgency and fire Mitch never had in his life.

We've jaf some good walk ons over the years. Probably the most famous, until now, was the kid from twenty years ago ... the linebacker ( Hank something maybe?) from Charleston who stopped Liitle Man Stuart going for the 2 pt conversion in the UT game.
It cost Johnny Majors his job.
I like Orth.
We had a TE, a converted QB, who caught a TD pass that won the game vs Bama under Holtz ... what was his name? Started with an R maybe?
There is a kid on the team now, a FB, Bedenbaugh ... he's doing well.

You are talking about Hank Campbell who stopped UT in 1992.
And Rod Trafford had a TD reception that put us ahead of Bama in the 2001 classic in Columbia. That was still one of the best games I have ever watched in person.

Yeah, Hank Campbell. That win is still one of my top 3 all time games I've ever been to at Carolina, it was my freshman year while they were filming The Program. Our student section looked like a blizzard on TV with all the cups being tossed in celebration.

Funny how early last fall, we were talking about the numbers and having too many guys projected on scholarship for this year.
Favorite walk on from the past -
QB - Erik Kemry

Favorite walk on from the present -
Would've been Orth, but he's on scholarship now.
so now, either Hurst or August, I don't think either has done much though.

Believe it or not, that Mississippi State game where Kimrey threw the fade was the last home game I missed until last year's South Alabama game.
I had just torn my ACL the Wednesday before the game and begged my mom to let me go. I almost jumped off the couch and through the roof when that play happened. Still remember it like yesterday.
