What does everyone on here think of nunez's role

As like a slasher. WR/QB/RB? I think it should be a really good fit. A faster, bit bigger version of a Pharoh Cooper/Syvelle Newton.

He'll be learning the playbook the same as the other WR's. Maybe he even knows it a little better after spending more time with Roper than the WR's. He'll understand the routes just as good as any of them.
He has the size and speed to be a successful SEC WR. However, if he doesn't break into the 2 deep this fall at WR, I would expect him to transfer. I do like the option of having a WR who can run a jet sweep and actually be legit a passing threat too, it will keep LB's off balance.

I tend to think it will depend on how he buys in to learning the WR position. He is a really good athlete, but if he is hell bent on being a QB, he won't give jet his all at WR. The only guy we have ever had who was selfless enough to play, and succeed, and both positions was Syvelle.

Nunez was a very productive player for us early on in the season, as a true freshman that probably wasn't ready to play. His debut game against UK, he rushed twice for 40 yds. Led the team in rushing the next gm in the blow-out loss to UGA, with nearly 8 ypc, and again the next gm with 123 rushing yds and throwing for 2 TDs against a bad UCF team.
He led the team in rushing again for the third time in as many gms played his TF season with 60 yds vs Mizzou, but throws 3 INTs and injures his shoulder. At that point thru 5 gms, Nunez was the team's leading passer AND leading rusher, even though he only played in the last 3 of those 5 games.
He dealt with the shoulder injury for the rest of the season, which substantially limited his effectiveness in games. It got to where when he came in as a Wildcat option at QB, opposing defenses knew he was only going to run with the ball, and they prepared for that.
But it was clear that Nunez is a very effective and athletic FB player and he needs to see the field in some capacity or other. Injuring his knee and missing the spring camp was a blow to his chances to competing for the QB job, but hopefully he can learn the routes well enuf as a receiver option as well as run with the ball a bit.....

Best fit for him. As a QB he seemed too ballhog-ish to me, on read options he would not let the ball go and would run it every time and on passes he would take a quick peek and then run it almost every time.

JC Shurburt or whatever his name is says that the reports out of summer practices are that he really can catch well and that he is doing a lot of good things at receiver

that's been my biggest question for LN. he's built like former Gamecock Marcus Robinson and has the same flow running on the field, not the speed. quickness/seperation off the LOS and hands will be key for him. Carolina's missed the 'jump ball' WR since Alshon went to the NFL.

Not to hijack, but I hope Terry Googer will be our new jump ball WR. I keep waiting for him to break out.

He came in as a quarterback too didn't he?
And for Nunez, either a receiver, or maybe even a running back would work well, with the occasional wildcat snaps

I think Googer may have been listed as an ATH when we recruited him, but I am not 100% on that. He has a big frame, and he jumps well. There was a video on twitter last week of him doing some pretty nasty dunks in the Strom.
