I am liking this silliness.

I would love to see jay graham come back as rec coordinator. Love pruitt too.

The only thing i would object to above is shawn elliot staying as offensive line coach. I think i have seen enough. His line honestly might be our biggest problem.

I do think that the next guy must absolutely bring a strong staff. This job is going to need some serious support. I think i would be thrilled with something clise to what cock in your ear described above. If Kirby could put together a slight variation of that staff he would be my guy... A home run.

Does anyone have a link of Herman talking to the media about removing his name from consideration? Or an article with quotes of him saying this? There may be one. I can't find it.

Nah, nothing is on record.

As for the staff, I think you subtract Joe Rob and add in Shane Beamer. He and Smart are close personal friends, and who better to take that gig?

Loving the idea of Lawing and Graham coming back. Plus, I think Pruitt leaves UGA in a heartbeat to come on board a Smart staff. He has been very upset with how they do things at UGA.

Smart has been my favorite all along, because he has the connections in the region, and I think our identity is defense. But I want the next coach, whoever that may be, to put a premium on recruiting and playing SC talent.

Beamer wouldn't have to be the special teams coordinator. And I'm not sure we can get both Beamer and Graham back if both want to be the recruiting coordinator.

You are going to have to pay at least 1.3 million to get Pruitt. I don't see him leaving for a pay cut, especially a $500k pay cut.

I see his new contract now, he came in at $850 but got a raise in January to $1.3M

Worth every penny and the two punches he landed on Schotty.

In your opinion, and hypothetically if it had to be one or the other, who b/w Schotty or Pruitt is more likely to not be at UGA next year?

So Tanner has a meeting with the team today ... or rather yesterday - it's 2AM where I am right now but ... so he has this meeting with the team and among the many dumbass things he says to them, or rather asks them, is "who do you want me to hire? Who would you like to be your coach?"

It just got worse from there.

WTF?

This is turning into another shite show.

He'd better close the deal with Kirby Smart or he has completely fricked this up.

And no no no to Ellis Johnson coming back under any capacity. He betrayed us on so many levels ... hell no. He cannot come back.

And Smart needs to hit the ground running with the recruiting. I can see this turning into another Brad Scott bunch of bullshite where he's allowed to stay on as a coordinator through whatever championship games ... that doesn't work.

Why is that a dumbass thing to ask?

And what would be worse to ask than that?

Because it's his job to find the right person, not the players (kids) who are here for a couple years then leave. That's like your parents asking for your opinion on how to parent.

It certainly sounds like his plan got fricked and he's scrambling.

Once again.....any reports to verify this info? I apologize if I'm not doing this correctly. Am I supposed to take everything in this thread as fact and "play along?" I don't want to do it wrong. If that's the case and this is a fantasy board, then I can come up with some cool shite.

I just want to know what the realistic chances are we will end up with elliot as head coach.

About the same chances you or I are the next coach. Is it possible to have a negative percentage?

No way, man. It is still 0%. Elliot needs to GTFO. He's part of the problem.

Scrooster is probably the most connected poster on this board. He doesn't blow smoke up your arse, if he said it, it's most likely accurate. Some info you take with a grain of salt but rooster is usually correct. Believe it or not makes no difference to us.
