So anyways ...

... I'm going to be absent for a little while, until the sheep humping goat blowers go-away. It's a bit too Sadomasochistic for me.
No clue why the admins and mods would want to encourage the taterhead trolls on the SECr ... page impressions (revenue), to get back at Bama fans, they don't like Gamecock fans, who knows?
Texas fans don't do this en masse, or Ga Tech fans, or FSU fans, or Louisville fans, ... you would think people would recognize the sheer shittiness of the sheep humpers and not want them infecting the place ... but evidently not.
My only recourse is to deny them my many page impressions a day - and hope they start lowering the ban hammer on the bullshite from the non-SECers.
I was probably spending too much time on here anyways. Seems like everytime I sit down for a break or lunch or whatever, I'm checking out this forum and the SECr.
I gotta go cut-up some trees on the property that were downed in the storm, which, reminds me ...
There was this guy I met back when my oldest daughter was at UNC named Marty Ravellette. He was born with no arms and was an amazing man. I met him having breakfast back in 2000 at this little place in Chapel Hill, he was smoking a cigarette with his foot and I walked over to put my hand on his shoulder and introduce myself and tell him how amazing he was ... and he invited me to sit down and join him. Our friendship began that way and when my daughter was being awarded a J-School award in November of 2002 I invited him out to dinner with us ... really nice restaurant.
Marty was an amazing human being - you can look him up online, he once cut a cord of firewood for my daughter and her roommates, loaded it over a fence and on to the back porch .... and he had no arms. He just did it and left it there as a surprise for the girls in the dead of winter.
He once saved this woman from a burning car on the side of the highway ... he became famous for that and appeared on Oprah among other shows.
He owned a landscaping business and he could do anything with his feet ... I loved him, I truly did. I could go on and on about Marty.
So anyways, back to the dinner that night in November of '02 because chainsaws and cutting trees and all this Clemson crap reminded me of that night.
We're sitting there at these three tables they had pulled together for our party and Marty, who had become famous in that area, was at the opposite end of the table from me eating with his feet of course.
Clemson was in town that weekend, football game, and there was this table of Clemson fans sitting next to ours and they called the Manager over to complain about Marty .... this gal dressed in orange says to the manager, "I need you to do something about that revolting man over there (and she points towards Marty) who is eating with his feet. It's disgusting and he's causing all of us to lose our appetite."
So I start to get up, but the Manager looks over to me and motions me to sit back down and he turns to this woman and says in an equally loud voice, "Ma'am, he has no arms .... how do you propose he eat his meal?"
To which she replied, "I don't know and I don't care I just want him moved somewhere else."
There was a long pause and everyone in the particular room we were in went silent ... I mean you could hear a pin drop, and then the manager looks over at his waiter who had been waiting on that table and snaps his fingers and says, "bring these people their check please, they're finished with their meal."

In all fairness another Clemson fan later came over and apologized and even sent Marty a bottle of wine ... which he accepted with a laugh and that great smile of his while cracking a joke about how he gets the corks out of wine bottles and how that would draw a crowd ...
So anyways, not all Clemson fans are bad ... but this forum seems to attract the worst of them and evidently no one is going to call for their check and tell them they're finished.
I'm going to take a break for awhile, check back in periodically with the hope that they are gone some day ... and I'll miss y'all in the process. It's just that they take away all the good natured fun of this place damnit.
At least we know they'll disappear come basketball season so, at the very least, I'll see y'all then. Oh, and I'm gonna keep playing the pick'em. :)

certainly respect your decision, but I suspect all of us Gamecocks hope ya do stick around here for our football season.

I hate that they are, effectively, getting their way. I'm sure nothing gives those dickweeds more pleasure than one of us leaving bc of their obnoxiousness.
Having said that, I can certainly understand why it would be necessary to take a break bc of them. I have little doubt I will end up catching the banhammer bc my patience with them is basically gone. We've always gotten along, even when our teams were going at it.
You are a class act. I hope that you will still drop by the USC boards and shoot the shite here. I daresay there won't be a great many Clemson fans getting access to troll everyone here.
Because I am old enough to remember the SWC and keep track of those threads... yeah we get a lot of shite talking Texas and Oklahoma fans in here as well actually. They mostly bad mouth A&M though they take their shots at Arkansas as well.
Every day it seems like at least one Texas, Oklahoma, or Clemson fan starts a thread to shite all over somebody in the SEC. Hell, usually its more then one thread a day. Clemson fans, in particular, have been egregiously bad about it. Those frickers are all over the place. Its like an infestation of bed mites.
I think it is high time the mods started handing some timeouts to these folks. They don't say a damn thing when their program takes a loss, but every other week they're trolling in here like it is the their own private fishing ground.
All of which is a round about way of saying, again, I hope you drop by and shoot the breeze here even if you avoid the cesspool of the SECRant. I also hope Carolina_Girl and the other folks on here I enjoy reading don't get the ban hammer dropped on them because they gave a well deserved cussing out to some shite stain from outside the conference coming on here to talk trash.

We hope your hiatus will be short. You add much to the rant. All fans are a little weird but three of those schools you mentioned are all suffering from being left out of the SEC.
I have noticed the Clemson trolls have been pretty obnoxious lately but I think they are just jealous of you.
