Someone mentioned Charlie Strong above. I would like to see him become our next coach when Bielema leaves. He's from Arkansas and grew up cheering our team, I do believe. I think he'll do well at Texas, it's just a question of if they give him the time he needs. Same kind of scenario with Dantonio, I'm guessing. I didn't know he had Gamecock heritage.

I know it will all depend on the timing, but I assume the Texas fans will be rather impatient with Strong. I would love to see them get rid of him prematurely the year Spurrier retires and have him fall right into our lap.

I wouldn't mind Dantonio either, except he would have to choose to leave, no way he is getting fired. I don't keep up with Spartan sports but I've never heard anything about any type of bad relationship with the administration so it would take a lot to pull him away from there. Plus, he's already 59. At the very least he'll be 61-62 by the time Spurrier retires, perhaps even older. I guess we could go with 3 consecutive old coaches, it's been our best consecutive hires in our history.

The buyout with Dntonio is pretty high and I agree, they'll keep him for as long as they can.
