SC Beats Mercer to Advance to 2nd Rd of Mens Soccer NCAA Tournament

We won 1-0, but we looked incredibly sharp. I was able to watch the last 15 minutes of the game. We had good control, passing was on point and we played great defense.

We won, that's awesome, but that Ref was horrible. We were getting blown up on several plays, really hard fouls, and we weren't getting the calls. There were 2 calls that were atrocious.

We had one of our guys in their corner using his back to shield the ball...and the Mercer guy literally grabbed him and threw him to the ground...and our guy was called for the foul after he kicked at the ball while on the ground. (this call was so bad it made me laugh.)

Another time our keeper cleared the ball to the center of the field, and we had a guy lined up to receive it. Their player jumped over our players back and rolled over in the air on top of him....they called our guy for the foul. The announcer said simply said, "what?!?" (I also laughed at that one.)

I hope we don't have that Ref again, one of our guys might have boned his daughter or something.

We play clemson next (at clemson) for the 2nd Rd of the Tournament.
