It's all going to be okay as of this morning. Ray Tanner is doing the right thing.

Chris is one of the finest, most unique, purely good-hearted, genuine, honest, trustworthy and loyal people one could ever hope to meet. I cannot stress enough what a good person he is ... one of the rare ones, a good egg.

The bullshite rumors ... well, they are lies. They are being perpetrated by a few douche bag cocksuckers who really do not know shite from shinola. Scumbags as far as I an others are concerned. frick'em.

Here's the bottom line.

If this was about something Chris allegedly said, then why fire the entire staff?

Secondly ... this had been in the works since Muschamp took-over basically, at least since January. It was not a surprise. Muschamp wanted his own people in place and that is his right to do so. He was waiting until the assistant from another program's contract expired after that person's program had finished their spring game. That happened last weekend ... so we knew this thing with Matlock was coming this week.

The problem is with how it was handled ... the bullshite press release. It was handled very very poorly. the "no comment" bullshite ... we get it, it was something the HR department had advised but it was poorly worded, the "dismissed" part because it implied Chris had done something wrong, which he did not - nor did any of his staff ... although Muschamp was a raving fricking prick to people all during Spring practice we are now learning.

The lie about Matlock talking negatively about Muschamp is just that ... a bald faced lie. A total lie perpetrated by some douche bags on the Internet who don't know shite. They don't know Chris, they don't know anything. It's pure gossip and lies.

The comments Matlock made to a friend in Myrtle Beach, who is now no longer a friend BTW ... were in general, "Muschamp is different, he is far more intense" were rearranged and blown out of proportion and by the time that person relayed the comments and the next person went running to social media ... the words had been completely changed to mean something different that what was said and the lies and gossip went crazy.

Again, I reiterate, all of these changes were already in the works ... this was a done deal months ago.

This is the problem with the Internet.

I read the bullshite on that 247 site last night ... total bullshite. Total and complete bullshite. You do not fire Joe, who has been there for three decades, or Fish ... who is one of Ray Tanner's baseball guys, or Matlock, who is one of the most beloved employees of our times along the line of Sarge Frye ... over some bullshite second hand gossip from one person.

Think about that.

But the press release left things open to interpretation and fostered the gossip to go nuts.

Matlock took some heat off of the AD's department this morning with his post to Facebook assuring everyone that everything is okay and he is simply being moved to another, I think better, position within the department from what I am hearing through the grapevine. And my channels are unimpeachable.

Muschamp handled this very poorly. He needs to put his big boy hat on and learn to do things with a little class ... because he really goofed with this one. Let this be a lesson to him. From what I've been told this morning - he's learned his lesson. He knows he goofed. Next time he'll handle it like a professional rather than a bi-polar insecure reactionary fricktard and he'll make sure his SID does the same.

That mother fricker thinks he can scream and shout and bully people ... he's in for a rude awakening. He either learns to deal with people with respect or class or there are plenty of us that will ... well, he better learn where his bread is buttered and earn some credit in his bitch arse basket before he starts with his crazy shite around here. Earn it ... be here awhile, win some fricking games ... then do what you want but do it with class and remember you are representing the University of South Carolina and ALL of our fans, especially those of us who have been paying dues for decades upon decades. You don't come in here and stomp on people just because you can ... he'd better learn that lesson quickly. Like I said, he needs to earn some credits and put'em in his basket and be careful about what battles he chooses to fight before he ever pulls a stunt like this again ... but he knows that now. He's been counseled on that as of today. He does not have carte blanche to do whatever he wants to people under him any longer. Everything gets cleared and handled from above from now on - a better process is now in place.

I hope the guy from Bama turns out to be a great equipment manager if they close the deal with him. And I hope Muschamp is our all-time winningest coach by the time he leaves here ... I'm pulling for the a-hole ... but he has a lot to learn about life that you would have thought he would have learned at Florida - but now there are doubts. I'm beginning to wonder if the guy has even a lick of goshdamn common sense about how to manage people and treat them with respect.

Just returned from a local community event where the topic should have been about our upcoming festival. Instead everyone was talking, and asking about, Matlock.

Still a lot of angry fans out there over this ... many are waiting on the official announcement about who is going to replace him and where he'll be going within the program.

Matlock has run the equipment room for years with just a couple of guys and a few GAs during the season. Word is that Muschamp is bringing in a larger full time staff and paying them a bunch more money fwiw.

The equipment folks do a lot more than just cleats, helmets and jerseys. They do a lot of community service stuff, provide custom gear to dignitaries, run the chains at practices, make sure everyone has what they need on the field, etc., etc., etc. The equipment manager opens the weight room at 5:30 every morning, opens the stadium and locker room and so on.

Muschamp has Mel over at the indoor facility ... and there will be additional staff over there as well ... especially when the new locker room is built over there.

We're going big time, and that's a good thing and all ... and I hope this next guy lasts as long and is cared about as much .... 16 years from now. And I hope I'm around to see it.

I was in Blythewood on Sunday. I haven't been there in over 10 years, it has changed a lot. There's a bunch of "new" schools and neighborhoods. It's vastly different from what I remember. When I GPS'd my cousins new address (which said Columbia, SC) and had to get off on Exit 27, I thought, "This isn't Columiba...GoogleMaps fricked up," but sure enough they've annexed that far out.

Well ... at this age and stage of my life it is imperative that I am popular on a message board - a major concern of my old cranky foul-mouthed existence GetCocky11.

I mean, the SECr's opinion of me, according to you ... that just hurts. Crushes me actually - my day is ruined. I always thought, assumed incorrectly, that the ones I occasionally berate with foul language had it coming. But evidently I was wrong and you've put me in my place. You should know, I'm an animal lover. Also, I donate to charities all the time. My Mother loves me. I'm fun at parties. I can bake a helluvan angel food cake. I believe gay people should be afforded the same rights as everyone else. I do not attend church often enough, not crazy about organized religion, but I am a spiritual person. I have a nice garden. I go for long contemplative walks through the woods for exercise these days. I believe there is life out in the universe that is more advanced than ours. And if I were the president of the world the first thing I would outlaw would be the killing of whales and elephants.

You know ... sitting here thinking about it, and I am going to share this with you with the hope that ... well, talking about it is good therapy.

I used to fall asleep with the TV on all the time. Couldn't help it, had to have the TV on to fall asleep. And I think things started changing for me back when Deadwood was on ... you know, that show on HBO? Yep ... I'd fall asleep watching Deadwood and I think it must have subliminally corrupted my mind because it was around that time that I got this potty mouth of mine. I would wake up going "bastard" this and "cocksucker" that ... I'd get up to feed the dogs and when I walked into the kennel I would ask, "how are you little cocksuckers doing this morning?" for instance. But I'd say it in a goo goo baby talk voice of course. They'd all just wag their tails ... but thinking back, that was gratuitous profanity and it was unnecessary and inappropriate. And it's gotten worse since then.

Deadwood ... those bastard script writers are to blame for this.

I feel better now.
