Just a general census.

1. Clemson
2. UNC

3. Georgia

1. Clemson for obvious reasons.
2. UGA, I'm from Augusta and have had to deal with the redneck "I've only been to Athens on Saturdays" fans my whole life.
3. This is a difficult one because I don't hate anyone as much as the two above. I'll probably have to say UF mainly due to the same level of sidewalkers, I grew up a FSU fan due to my old man being a big Bobby Bowden guy, and all of the shade thrown on the Muschamp hire.

I can understand the UNC call due to the historic record, but they haven't beaten us in football since I was 3 years old. Hard for me to care about them outside of basketball season.

"Hated?"

1 - the fricking sheep humping taterheads
2 - the fricking bone smoking tarholios

After those two ... I don't really have a third.

I actually enjoy our little mini rivalry with Georgia. It's getting better all the time. Some of their drunk, barking, fans can be real assholes, especially at their place, but we've all got them I guess.

See, that word "opponents" is what's stumping me. But I get it because "rivals" would probably not be apropos to your line of thinking either, if I am reading you right?

Yet "rivals" is usually where "hate" might come into play. While hate usually comes down to deeper things than just sports ... personal, political and philosophical things. Historical things even.

This fabricated rivalry thing with Mizzou ... it has potential because they, as a fan base, are largely different than us politically and philosophically ... yet we have a lot of things in common with the true Mizzou fans, the ones I've met at the games, in terms of our sports programs.

So I dunno ... I can probably only name two, in order, above.

If I had to name a third I suppose it would be UGA, waaaaay down the list.

Clemmy - Duh

UGA - Thank god I left Atlanta and don't have to deal with thousands of leghumpers and listening to Buck and Kincaide on 680 anymore.

Tie between UF/Arky - Teams we just could never get that win over when it counted 2006 - 2010.

Hated may have been the wrong word.

Team you would like to beat the most, disregarding it being a conference win or not.

Okay then ... gotcha.

In that case ...

1 - Clemson
2 - UGA
3 - Tennessee

If we win those three games every year, everything else takes care of itself.

fricking 2013 Tennessee game still pisses me off. Not that it's Tennessee, just the implications.

If we played UNC more, they would be ahead of UT, but due to a few posters on this site, UT has jumped them. Also, Mizzou is inching its way up towards the top, as well.

No doubt ... that one was a heart breaker.

I was talking to Connor Shaw not long ago, maybe a year or so ago, and I asked him about that game and that one sticks in his craw as well ... for obvious reasons I guess.

My disdain is more impacted b/c I'm surrounded by them in the neighborhood and work. I hired several, so that's on me, but all the unc flags were flying in August, and then back again in November, and then all through this spring around the neighborhood.

I also where my SC hat when I coach (little league) so the unc fans/parents loved to talk about las week's game this weekend.

They can definitely be rough to live around ... no doubt about it. They can be more taterheadish than the taterheads at times.

i feel for ya Royal. TN is a beautiful state, but the resident vile fans have no clue how out of touch they are with reality when it comes to how screwed up their AD has always been throughout the years. I've watched up close and also a distance all the way back to Mears being brought in to fix hoops. he was the original circus ringleader that Pearl eventually copied some 40 years later.

their football benefited greatly from never playing LSU annually, nor Georgia. over half of their all-time SEC wins came from beating Kentucky (78), Vanderbilt (75) and Ole Miss (44).
