Ok we are almost at the end of our offseason game here. What is our official count given the transfers etc?

AJ Turman transferred, too. I'm pretty sure we've had 1 or 2 other guys transfer as well. Transfers will always happen when there are coaching changes.

We are days away from the conclusion of the OFFICIAL: '15-'16 UGA Players Suspended/Leave during the Off Season Thread. Thank you to all who participated this year.

It was another banner year of tPOS'ing for UGA in Kirby Smart's debut season. HC Smart managed to Lead the SEC in Arrests and thuggery in his first year! UGA is 1st in the SEC tied for 2nd Nationally in the 2016 Fulmer Cup

Some say Mark Richt lost control of UGA Football, but it's clearly apparent Kirby Smart never had control to begin with.


The Official Count (as of 8/31/16):
The Count is 3 at this point in time:
-Chauncey Rivers- dismissed (3 Total separate infractions, but by 1 player)
-Chad Clay- dismissed (2 separate infractions but by 1 player)
-Jonathan Ledbetter- suspended (2 separate infractions but by 1 player)

However we are also tracking:
-DL Julian Rochester - Felony Weapon/Property Damage - Pending
-DB Rico McGraw - Drug Test
- DL Nartez Patrick Drug Test
There is a chance the above 3 may still be suspended for at least some portion of the opening game/future game.


The Arrests from the Off Season:
DL Chauncey Rivers - Drug arrest
DL Chauncey Rivers - Drug arrest (his 3rd in season but 2nd of the off season)
DL Jonathan Ledbetter - Fake ID, Intoxication
DL Julian Rochester - Felony Weapon/Property Damage
DB Chad Clay - Felony Weapon/Property Damage/Theft by Taking
DB Juwuan Briscoe - Driving W/O a License/Seatbelt Violation
DB Chad Clay - Theft
DL Jonathan Ledbetter - DUI, Possession of Alcohol by a minor.

UGA Football players and a devious but effective way of skimming the numbers in this year's game. They had players commit multiple infractions over the off season. Smart is also not suspending players who were arrested for felonies, which is a new twist.

....well wow, I checked both this thread and the bookmarked thread from the other board and these are the closest 2. 8 Total Arrests but only 3-6 suspended. Right now, I would call Cockopotamus, but there is still more time for dumb shite to happen or suspensions to be made public/found out.

You were kidding, but honestly I think Kirby has just brought more of a common sense approach. With very few exceptions, if a player got into just about ANY trouble with the law he'd be suspended. Rochester was shooting BBs in his dorm room (dumb, dumb dumb. No argument from me there), but should that really warrant a suspension? Most folks would say no, as does Kirby. Richt would probably think otherwise.

It has been a truly exciting year in Coach Smart's debut season. UGA LED THE SEC in arrests and in Fulmer Cup Standings! They were #2 Nationally in tPOS'ing!!!!!

Now that we know Kirby put the lock down on disseminating information to the media and that he'll not suspend players who were arrested for felonies...we're going to reconfigure the scoring format in '16='17.

Yall were #2 in Fulmer Cup standings, alas we weren't even in the Top50.

However you are right about the 4. I guess some coaches/institutions just have higher expectations for player conduct than others. (Am I saying that right? That is what I've heard before.)
