ETA:

CONGRATULATIONS TO TiptonInSC, our 2014 CHAMPION

As of 9/1/14
The Official Count is 6.

JHC - Dismissed for Team Violation-Drugs -THIS COUNTS
Tray Matthews - Theft - Dismissed

The Off Season is here!

CockInYourEar Productions is proud to produce the 2nd Annual How many UGA Players Suspended/Leave during the Off Season Thread for your entertainment.

First, I'd like to recognize our current Champion, Mr Sinister!
He used his understanding of true evil and darkness to correctly pick 5 last year and was off by only 1 offense.

OFFICIAL RULES

Guess how many UGA Football Players will be Suspended or Leave the program b/w 1/7/14 and the beginning of the '14 Football Season.

Ties will be broken by also guessing what the infractions will be that led to their suspension/departure.
(i.e. 6 total. 3 for Drug Policy Violations, 1 for Assault, 2 for Animal Husbandry (buggery).

All estimates must be made before 12 a.m., January 15, 2014 for the prize, but feel free to post later if you want to project for fun.
You can also edit your submission up to that Jan 15th deadline.

NOTES
All team violations count, whether they are disclosed or not.
All grade issues count.
The players who already left before today or infractions before today do not count (So JHC's failed drug test a few weeks ago doesn't count.)

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!

What if it's to join the missionary field? Or to attend to dying relatives? Or maybe study at Oxford?

If only they did things like that more than they beat women and carried unregistered weapons, CMR would never be fired.

Right on, I found a typo thanks to your quote, I had 1/7/13 as the date, but of coarse it should be 1/7/14.

If a player leaves on their own accord it's measured differently and totally subjectively. Let's say WR Tommy T gets arrested for smoking pot, but then in the couple of weeks it comes out that he quit. We're going to default on that situation that he would have been suspended anyways, so he counts.

However, if DE Bubba B's little sister is sick, so he quits and moves home to help his mom, he wouldn't be counted.

7 is the magic number. Young team, Richt loses even more control of....

3 sets of pot, paraphernalia, or rape drug cases
1 instance of book and supply money manufactoring
1 sets of "team rules" which means the guy is a Tpos

Good luck to all contestants.

What if someone gets busted for something, but ends up not being suspended? Let's say a 2nd string corner gets busted for pot, but never gets suspended per se because he wasn't going to play anyway?

Example- last year 3rd string Ty Flournoy Smith got busted smoking weed... he ended up leaving the team but had he stayed, he still wouldn't have seen the field, at least not until about halfway through the season when both our tight ends got hurt. How would that have been scored?

I think you should set it up based on who gets busted, plus who gets suspended for undisclosed reasons.

If you set it up that way....

4 total infractions resulting in 3 suspensions and 1 leaving the team. All drug related.

Excellent point, and we did address that last time. Flourney was counted towards, b/c had he stayed and not left, he would've been suspended. UGA has a consistent drug policy and that 1st infraction is 10% of the games I believe.

AND SO IT BEGINS!!! Shaq Wiggins arrested for driving on a suspended license. No word on whether this will lead to a game suspension, but we'll see.

I will say 3 total arrests, 2 suspended/leave the team...so that's a total of 5 infractions, now 4 remaining with today's arrest...

Forgot about this thread - meant to post in it, and now the train is trying to leave the station already with me not on it...
