Offering Scarnchia instead of Mason Rudolph the biggest wtf of Spurrier era

Scarnechia will never play a down here if he can't beat out Perry Orth. Mason Rudolph is from the Rock Hill area and we didn't even offer him. He goes out to Oklahoma State and has been a starter for two years and has his team 10-1 with a chance to win the Big 12ish.

When in doubt, offer the local kid.
It helps build relationships with HS coaching staffs, builds loyalty with communities, and the kids tend to play harder than out-of-staters.
I want the next staff to defer to the local talent. Force Clemmy to go out of state for everything.

This is true. I never really paid attention to it so much lately ... and then I started hearing rumors, hearing comments from some of the high school coaches, et al., and I was shocked that Junior had let it deteriorate that much.
