Now that it's happened, how do you feel?

I'm honestly kind of sad. I wanted this, I felt we needed this. And this was the best way it could have happened.

But it sucks. I had high hopes with Spurrier, and he did a ton of great things for us. But you could tell he wanted that SECC bad. And we all did too.

I'm excited moving forward, but we better hire someone good. I'll be in the stadium Saturday. Should be interesting.

Mixed feelings. I hate it for him and us that he didnt announce his retirement immediately after the bowl victory over miami last year.

I would have felt a lot better had he announced his retirement at the end of last season. Ultimately, I am sad and thankful. Spurrier is the GOAT here at USC, and we are forever indebted to what he did for us.

I was a sophomore in college when he was hired, so he is the first coach that I can really remember everything about. This ride was fun as hell, and I hate to see it end, but it was time. Time for the next guy to springboard off of what the HBC built.

Sucks that we didn't get that SECC. I think he wanted that more than any NC or any other title. But we sure as hell played elite SEC football for a few years, completely built new or refurbished all football facilities which will hopefully lead to long term success with whoever follows suit.

Part of me is sad, part of me is relieved and ready to move on. Of course, that will all depend on what Tanner does in the hiring process.

I'm already ready to move forward.

I respect Spurrier, he did so much for us. This program is a better program for having him with us. He made us hungry to win, he got a lot of the money together for the capital expenditures/helped raise it. He got us elite NFL level talent.

It was time for him to go, the recruiting/age/term limit killed us. He should've never said that '2-3' comment last year. He is a champion in life, his next phase is going to be awesome, whatever it is.

Taters gonna tate CG, Don't let them bother you.

I've already had a few taters give me the "go Carolina" shout today at the office, I responded by throwing my water bottle in the fresh liner they just placed in the trash can.

Should've pissed in the water bottle first.

I will LMFAO if Elliott breaks his foot off in their asses at the end of this season. I mean...they will NEVER hear the end of it. I'll rent every fricking billboard in the state and remind them of it. Hate those hillbillies.

Yeah, yeah...hate's a strong word...but my ex-husband is a Clemson alum. Trust me...I hate them. I must've been slipped some damn good LSD to marry that douche. Oil and water...oil and water.

They're all happy that Dabos daddy quit.

Btw, posted that exactly on my Facebook and I immediately got blasted because Dabos dad died earlier in the year. I'll admit I forgot about that, but come on.

I posted that on my fb page as well...and I totally forgot about his biological daddy's death until you just mentioned it.

I'm still waiting to feel bad about it...still waiting...still waiting....nope. Feel just fine.

ETA: Maybe we should send flowers? I mean, losing both in one year has to be hard.

This whole day has been surreal....

As far as my opinion I was shocked that it happened mid-season like most, if not all of you. I think SOS didn't want that losing regular season on his record but his body language seemed different against UGA and LSU, that you could tell the end was coming for him. I do respect him for doing it and appreciate everything he has done for the program and for the university, The ground work has been put in for someone to take over what he has built and really make something great happen.

It feels both abrupt and a long time coming, not really sure how I feel to be honest. Part of me just wants to get this season over with...

I don't know. I'm kind of excited to see how we do with Elliot for the remainder of the season. I don't expect much, but it's been a long time since I've seen a coach other than Spurrier lead this team.

Coach Elliot's first order of business should be to demote Bubba to Waterboy/Towelboy

I'm going to borrow that sig if UF loses. "Missing Nbama" has brought UF luck except for QB suspensions.

Mixed feelings about HBC hang it up. It is sad that he lost whatever he had during the 90s at UF and recently at USC.
