He had 1 class to take this summer and as it stands now, his GPA is right on point to get the grade he needs. He has about 2 weeks of class left, but Muschamp expects him to enroll Aug 1.

This is huge news, he'll come in and compete for the starting RT spot right away, and I expect him to win it.

He is a 2 Time NJCAA All American OT. 1st team this year, 2nd team last year as a Fr. 6'7" 350 lbs.

We were thin at OT already...and I think things may get a little thinner at OT...especially early this season...so it really is good that Cooperwood qualifies.

Just saw where Christian Pellage will miss some time due to a DUI. Is he a Guard or Tackle?

He was an All American Tackle in HS, that we had slated as a backup Left Guard right now. I thought he would possibly take the RT spot or wait for the LT spot after Zandi leaves.

I think we should have a team vote situation here and let the team decide his punishment. Or we could Saban this and just not punish anyone. We need to keep up with the Jones's on this type of thing.

I agree. He probably had one too many down at Pavs last Friday night and tried to drive back to 650 Lincoln.

Yup. Another warm body to plug in on the OL can't hurt....

First JUCO NJCAA at OL we've brought in since Kaleb Broome. I hope he contributes more to the team than Broome did. We'll need him...

Yeah, but don't forget about King and Rok Watkins too, they were JUCO OL's who ended up in the NFL with us. We brought in a JUCO OT this year b/c we are thin at that position and we can't wait 2 years for a guy out of HS to develop. We have to have someone who can step in on the 2 deep right away from a physical standpoint.

Agreed, we actually lost out on another JC kid last Yr named Paris Palmer to Franklin at PSU. It looks like he was a bust as well as Broome posibbly worse. I'm interested to know which coach was so high on these kids, especially the JC ones, in the first place.

I'm not sure what we can do but try and continue to recruit talent from the OL. Especially JUCO guys who can come in right away and provide depth at multiple positions.

...and then 3 weeks later he messes up and does not qualify. I think he just had to get a C in this last class...

We're going to need to grab another JUCO OT this year besides Daley. I would expect Pellage to be moved back to OT after his suspension.

Well the OL is our most experienced group for sure I would say so while you always want depth, this loss does not hurt as much as someone on say, the Secondary.
