YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
Sounds like he's probably gonna be involved in getting recruits comfortable with coming here...an ambassador sort of role on the University payroll. I seriously cannot think of a better role model and representative for USC.

Will Muschamp’s first staff at South Carolina has added another familiar face – Marcus Lattimore.
A source close to Lattimore confirmed Wednesday night that the Gamecocks’ all-time leader in touchdowns will join Muschamp’s staff in May 2016.
Lattimore will not be a coach – instead, he will talk to the Gamecocks about life off the field beyond football, similar to what he does in his leadership academies through his foundation.
Lattimore can’t officially join the staff until he graduates in May, but he will serve a role that allows him to be around the program without the time-consuming rigors of an assistant coach.
Lattimore, who is marrying his high-school sweetheart on Saturday, was offered a position by Muschamp before Muschamp officially took the USC job. While coaching high school football in the future may be an option for Lattimore, he has consistently said the time demands of a college coach isn’t for him at this point.

One of the best possible decisions Boom could've made. I hope things work out well and he can get people invested in the team again.
Lattimore is just such a good person, I respect the hell out of him honestly. A great player and an even better role model for younger people.

Life Coach as a title didn't stick. His official title will be Director of Character Development. He will work with the players on the team in that regard and will also be involved in the recruiting side of things, especially when prospects take unofficial and official visits to SC.

I first met Marcus in the summer of 2012 at an off-campus pool in Columbia. I had just torn my MCL and LCL and was doing therapy exercises in the water, and I guess Marcus recognized one of the stretches I was doing. He came over to ask how I tore my knee, how my recovery was going, and offered me some tips. It was one of the coolest and nicest interactions I had through all of my time living in South Carolina.
Marcus truly is one of a kind. He's got a bright future ahead of him.

I would have liked this young man to score just one NFL TD.

This. May hate on Boom (and will continue to do so), but this was a classy move.
