Is Lattimore really considering staying?

I've been hearing rumblings on this. Would be a terrible decision for his NFL career.

Most have him as the #1 or #2 RB in the draft next year... I really don't see him staying, especially as injury prone as he has been lately. Selfishly, I would love for him to stay, but I don't think its the best move for him unless he really feels like there is more to accomplish here for him.

I heard his mother wants him to get a degree and that Lattimore's ultimate goal was to win a Heisman.

But the shelf life on NFL RB's is already pretty low, is it NFL suicide?

I too would love to see him stay though, selfishly.

Shelf life is very low... 8-10 years of productivity for an every down back. Basically, you play until you are 30 and retire.

On that note, say Lattimore comes back and then goes on to the NFL and plays, I expect him to be smart enough not to blow his money like the guys on the ESPN 30 for 30 "Broke."

I think he may actually do better for himself coming back. First Round money is so much different than 2nd round. He is probably looking at the 2nd round if he comes out now. I think there may be some smoke here as he only got 3 carries this past game being relatively healthy. Maybe SOS is limiting his touches on purpose knowing he'll be back next year...

Doubt this.

I haven't been paying attention to draft grades so far but Lattimore has definitely not had the type of season he and all of us were hoping for. Like it's been said, NFL RBs have a short shelf life so if he is projected first round Spurrier will tell him to go.

But I wouldn't be surprised if he came back because Lattimore is a special kid with a good head on his shoulders and I think he has mentioned that he wants to get his degree.

I don't think he'll be drafted as high as we thought at the beginning of the season. Honestly, he hasn't had a fantastic season by his standards.
I think he'll be back for his senior season. If not, we'll survive.

Wow... I feel so bad for the kid, no matter what at least he will have a degree at the end of next year. I hope he is able to come back. I just feel extremely bad for Lattimore...
