I'm sure everyone is super excited about this weekend's home opener. According to the article below we have really stepped up our game this year and I can't wait for Saturday night. Say goodbye to the dreaded noon kickoffs and crappy network coverage.
Also I wanted to know what the deal was with the first game being a "black out" and not a "white out" like I had been hearing before the season started?

I believe the blackout is supposed to be a thing about the eclipse, even though it's a month later.
At least that's what I first heard. I remember the blackout news coming around the time of the eclipse.

Pretty sure we actually want to have a blackout. They're selling shirts and will almost without a doubt be in our all black uniforms. I also plan on blacking out at some point between the 3rd and 4th quarters.

I don't think those two are mutually exclusive. yes we want it to be a black out at the game and will likely be in our all black uniforms, but the idea itself was likely inspired by the eclipse.

I think you all are right about the eclipse being a factor in the game being a black out. I guess the white out game was just a dream or something. Either way the game should be a good one no matter if it's black or white.

If the eclipse was this week...maybe. Or it's just how Boom has stressed the black in our color scheme since his arrival.

They announced it before the eclipse that it'd be to commemorate the eclipse
