Every year just days before preseason begins the head football coaches in the state of South Carolina come together for a great cause.
It's something they are all willing to do because it benefits the Fisher DeBerry Foundation as part of the South Carolina "Coaches for Charity" evening that includes a live auction, a silent auction and much more.
"We're always happy as coaches to do whatever we can to help this foundation," South Carolina head football coach Steve Spurrier said.

Nevertheless, as one would expect, the HBC still made sure to keep the rivalry fun during their time on stage together, answering a question from emcee Rick Henry of WIS as only he could.
The question asked was if you could add anyone on to your staff from any time who would it be?
Swinney answered first and said "Coach Spurrier."
Spurrier's response?
"I guess Danny Ford would have to be it."

I was there last night, and it was very entertaining. In the past, the coaches have all given short speeches about the upcoming season, but last night, Rick Henry facilitated a Q&A session. Dabo actually sat at our table and was very personable and entertaining. HBC's wife came over and had a conversation with him, but the HBC was just hanging out with Ralph Friedgen of all people.
Marcus Lattimore was there, and as always gave a great speech. He is an awesome ambassador for our University, and we are truly lucky that he chose to come here.
