Seems like it's been awfully quiet on the SC front this year. I think that's a great position for y'all to be in and surprise a bunch of people. I'm expecting your DLine to be improved. Is that the expectation there as well?

Got a great WR. What's the rest of the offense looking like? Is it gonna be Mitch? Lots of returners on the line?

What kind of record to you foresee this year?

Last year I thought we'd see more I-form with a less mobile QB but I was wrong. I'd like to see more this year but don't anticipate it like I did last year. I guess we'll just run the zone read and everyone will know the RB is keeping the ball.

Defense will be improved because we will have legit pass rushing threats.

Pharoh will be a beast

Lorenzo Nunez will get some wildcat snaps at the very least. From what I've heard a team leader say about Mitch (that "he doesn't care about football") I expect more than just wildcat snaps.

Offensive line will hinge on Matulis and Waldrop staying healthy. They will probably be the starters at LT and LG respectively. I don't see Brandon Shell remaining at LT and see him moving back to RT

Regular season win total: 9 win ceiling, 6 win floor.

I have a little more faith this season than I did last year. I was pretty convinced Carolina was going to suck last season, and well, they didn't surprise me.

This year, I'm thinking that they can climb back to 9/10 wins. I like the tailbacks in Wilds and Williams, and I think the receiving corps has the potential to be the best that's been here since Jeffrey and Gurley.

It all comes down to the defense. There's plenty of talent at LB and in the secondary, but the unknowns are on the D-line, and with the new coordinator, Hoke. I think that he'll pay immediate dividends, and he's got a lot to work with. But if it takes a while for the team to figure out what he's trying to accomplish, USC could be 0-2 in the conference before hitting the meat of the schedule.

It's entirely possible that the 2015 Gamecocks are head and shoulders above the 2014 Gamecocks, but still have the same record.

2015 South Carolina Gamecocks = better team, harder schedule may lead to a similar win/loss record as 2014.

Mitch will likely be QB. Pharoh is our guy at WR, but he'll do more than just that. We are actually pretty stacked at WR. The past 2 recruiting cycles we've quietly put together some pretty good WR classes. Whether or not that young talent emerges this season remains to be seen. Wilds and Williams will do fine at RB.. Wilds is the thunder, Williams is the Lightning. Two completely different backs. OLine has a lot to prove, they've underachieved the last few years in my opinion..

I think 8 or 9 wins is attainable... Nobody is talking about SC right now. Which is good.

It's weird how that works. In years when Mizzou is hyped, we flop. When no one's really talking about us, we tend to play better.

It's been a while since I've looked, but as I recall, I thought y'all had some really solid guys coming in on the DL. Kind of excited to see how well they play this year, outside of the Mizzou game of course.

I think Cooper is the best WR in the SEC. Would absolutely kill to have him on the team with Mauk.

Is Conner Mitch understood to be the #1 going in? Or will there be a true competition for the starting job going into the fall?

If it is an honest competition we are screwed. Hes competing against a walk-on, red-shirt freshman and true freshman

I am going with 8-4 this year.

Probable wins:
UNC
Kentucky
UCF
Vandy
Citadel

Toss-ups:
Mizzou
Tennessee
Florida
Clemson

Probable losses (games I don't feel great about):
UGA
LSU
Texas A&M

That's pretty fair. I'd probably throw A&M into the toss up category as an outsider not completely familiar with both.
