Yes ... he was gotten-to early, no doubt. He was wearing official UGA gear from a mystery source his soph year. Claimed it was from the UGA equipment mgr, did he not.

They were in financial trouble ... until signing day. But they were UGA boys with UGA connections and the bidding war ensued. Not saying SCAR wasn't involved, but there was a point reached when it became obvious the Dawg man was gonna keep going until he got his signee.

ETA: Also heard Clemson is going to start making a real push at him.
SC liked him as an ATH and a QB. We ate recruiting him as a QB. He wants to play QB in D1. clemson likes him as an ATH, not as a QB. We gained a lot of ground with him this summer. He is coming to games this fall.

Depends if you are talking it terms of recruiting or talent. Recruiting the class ir is but talent and ranking wise that was Mike Davis

No doubt! Great players want to play with other great players. He said in an interview about a month or so ago that which ever school he committed to he knew there would be more high profile players come with him.

Would say his size is the only thing holding him back from that 5th star. Or atleast that's what I've been reading. He's 5'9 170 which is why he gets a ton of comparison to Mathieu (5'9 186). Plays a lot like TM. Always around the ball on defense & is electric with the ball in his hands. He's rated a 4* 97 on 247 looks like 5* starts at a 98 rating, so yeah he's right on the edge.

They had an interview with Jamyest after the game today and asked if he was gonna started recruiting for Carolina now & he said yeah & he was gonna make AJ Terrell flip.

Haha, I will wait to see that happen...but if it did the melt on taternet would be epic. I want to see if Jamyest can help give us a shot with his teammate D Gibbs.

IF Xavier commits early (like this NSD) it will be a HUGE help to spring and summer recruiting efforts. Ideally, he and 4* DT Josh Belk will pull the trigger before '17 NSD and we can start drawing in elite talent to Jr Day's and the summer camps.

We don't have a 2018 thread going, but word around Concord is that Rick Sandidge Jr is leaning SC's way. It's all 2nd hand info, but that right now the buzz around here. Hamsah Nasirldeen and some supportive people are trying to guide him to the light.

We should get a 2018 thread going. This staff seems like it is going to be way ahead of the game for 2018 and it might be worth following from now until then.
