ECU Game Tickets

I just got off the phone with a buddy of mine who moved out of state this year, and he tried to buy a pair of single game tickets for ECU and UGA. He was able to get two UGA tickets together in the 500's, but could not find a single pair of tickets side by side for ECU. That's interesting to me. I would have thought it would have been the other way around.

that does seem odd. mini-plans went on sale to Gamecock Club 7/29 then public 8/1. mini-plans are no longer available on the website. singles went on sale to GCC silver spur+ 8/22 and then to remaining GCC today, 8/25. singles for general public not available until 8/29.
dawg fan posted this about a month ago. I'm thinking UGa didn't use all of their allocation of 10K which they/USC allow to each other above league minimum - and returned some to USC.

I for one am not surprised at all. People are hedging their bets.
People want to see the Gamecocks win. Most think we can beat ECU and so buy tickets to a winnable game. UGA is a very good squad who hammered us last year en route to our 3-9 record. It will be a good game this year with 2 new coaches squaring off but I still think we lose against UGA.
Just a possible theory.

You may be right about that. First game, possible win, 4pm kickoff, etc. I was just shocked that it sold out (pairs) that fast. My buddy is in the Gamecock Club and has been a past season ticket holder, but once he moved, he just decided to come back for a couple of games.

Here's the link to a fb page specifically for buy/sale/trade/in search of tickets to all Gamecock functions. It is managed by a friend of mine and is a closed group so you will have to request to be a member before you can correspond with other group members about the tickets you are interested in.
She keeps the group closed to try to keep an eye on what ppl are charging for tickets as well as trying to ensure that the tickets are being sold by Gamecock fans to Gamecock fans versus opposing teams trying to buy tickets meant for Gamecocks. Just wanted to assure you that it is a legit page!

I just browsed the page and there are tix to the ECU game posted for sale..most running $30-35/ticket but the interest in the tickets for sale is massive so I would definitely recommend getting over there and joining the group ASAP if you really are interested.

I really appreciate the information. I am not on Facebook, but I will let my buddy know, because I am pretty sure that he is.
He tried to purchase through his GC Club membership, but only found individual seats.

Obviously there are a lot of factors that have led to this game being sold out like ECU being a regional opponent, first home game, only home game in September, 4:00 click off.
But today I learned that it parents weekend too. And I think that's the major reason this is the only game to sell out so far.

Yep ... it was a perfect storm for a sellout this weekend.
My goddaughter enrolled at Carolina this year, her parents are coming down from Maryland and we had to scramble to find tickets.
Hotels are completely booked around the city as well.

My Marine buddy who I told to come to Carolina who we go halvies on season tickets (half scholly 3 tickets in section 13 row 12) asked for my ticket for his dad (New Jersey) so I may not go since I can't get it. Not gonna pay astronomical prices for a ticket nor wander around the fairgrounds to watch the gamw.
His dad is in for a treat though we got his brother out(Arizona) for Clemson last year he was taken aback. Cannot wait to hear his takeaways, being a Rutgers grad.

ECU up 12-0 on NC State.
I don't think State is very good but I'm still surprised.
