It's SEC country but they seem to have the official one. Immediate thoughts?

looks legit to me, hopefully they can find a way to get AJ Turner the ball a good bit too, kids runs hard with heart, but is a bit small.

Surprised Jamyest wasn't listed.

Also a painful reminder of how things we are in the back 7 on defense. Especially linebacker

This is technically a pre camp DC. They haven't seen Jam do anything other than lifts and sprints.

It will probably change a bit before the season, though if Bentley isn't the QB then there should be rioting in the streets, but it does illustrate certain points.

It is a more experienced and talented team this year and that your recruiting footprint is South Carolina and Georgia with cherry picked recruits from other places.

Mind you, South Carolina and Georgia is an area where you can most certainly build a national title team from the local talent.

We have to see how y'all do when the season starts but I am leaning towards an 8-4 type season with 9 wins and a potential spot in Atlanta not being unreasonable.

I do think that this year is the set the table year and that next year should be the year that y'all are in line to take a big step forward.

I would be willing to cast the reverse jinx and predict 0-12 but then I'd get banned from the board.

Somewhere between 6 and 8 wins. DL should be better this year, but still needs tons of work. Added good depth at DT for run stopping and the DE and Buck should be on par or better than what we lost.

The one thing that shocked me was Fenton over Lammons at CB.

7-5 to 8-4. Either of those is what I expect. Our Offense should put up a lot of points but we have no pass rush or LBS. Our DBS are decent but they have no help outside of Skai Moore in front of them.

Yes but the good news is that what talent you have on defense your coach will get the best out of. I am not sold on the guy mind you... me and CNB had an argument over me calling him Moosechimp... but he builds a great defense.

What you are looking at is the hope the offense improves.. which it should with what you have coming back. Then that the defense is not avert your eyes horrible. Which, to be honest, is Arkansas the last two years.

If you get both of those then I think you measure up very well. Missouri could be a lot better then people think, but Florida should be down this year and Georgia is still a big question mark. Butch Jones is a known commodity and its not one you want to buy into.

I honestly have no idea how this year's Arkansas team will fare. No. Seriously, your guess is as good as mine. Sumlin is entering a win big or get fired season at A&M which probably does not bode well for them.

Why can't USC have a really good year this year?

8-4 with a shot at another win or two. I think you hang around the race for the East title this year. I think it sets the table for the next couple of years.

Front seven is the last place you want to be weak. I was would be impressed if Muschamp pulled 8 wins. I thought he overachieved last year given what Spurrier left him. I would think Trob and him will eventually have that defense looking good.

Immediate thoughts? Please God, don't let us get any injuries at linebacker or we're in trouble. That's my immediate thought.

USC had a mess along its DL in 2015, with starters Lewis and Dixon Jr. being the only consistent starters all season along the DL. Others such as Stallworth (5 starts), Sawyer (4 starts), Dukes (3), Dixon (3), Cedric Cooper (3), David Johnson (3), and Boosie Whitlow (3) were shuffled in and out of the starting DL lineup all season long. There was never any consistency or stability along the DL.

Because of this, with Dixon Jr. graduating we only returned Lewis for 2016 as any DL with substantial starts - Stallworth and Sawyer were next I guess. English appeared in 11 gms but didn't earn a start in 2015. Jones didn't play at all.

This season, we return both Stallworth and Jones as primary starters from last season. Both Wonnum and Sawyer backed up English and Lewis last season. IMO both are primed and have enough experience - Sawyer especially - to fill the roles and get the job done. Sawyer is a mirror image of Lewis physically with the same body measurables: he just has to show the same drive. Coach Muschamp has called out Sawyer, Stallworth, and Jones as the senior representatives of the DL that will be looked to to step up and have career years. The depth behind the starting Dl is young and inexperienced, but is deeper than previous years: Wideman, Webb, Thompson, Smith, Kinlaw are all options to back up Stallworth and Jones in the interior, while Keir Thomas, Brad Johnson, Daniel Fennell, Aaron Sterling, and Blackshear will all compete for positions on the depth chart at DE.

At LB, we lost Walton and Holloman to graduation, but probably Holloman wouldn't have been a starter last season had Skai Moore been healthy to play, and Moore returns for this season. He and Allen-Williams will anchor the LB position, with perhaps Brunson playing the inside position. They will also have some inexperience behind them, but have some depth in Antoine Wilder plus a host of incoming talent in Davonne Bowen, Sherrod Greene, Damani Staley, and Eldridge Thompson to compete for snaps.

The secondary is the position I feel that is the strongest coming into this season, edging out the LB position depending on how well Moore returns to action. They return their top 3 CBs in King, Lammons, and Montac. Montac will move primarily to safety, but those 3 added to D.J. Smith was the team's leading tackler last season, and our secondary should be stronger this season. Plus now that we'll have talented depth behind them the secondary should be even stronger/fresher this season as the CBs hardly had any supportive depth last season....
