When we take off (???? ) dont hop on the train??
The emojis were a Gamecock and a Football.

I think he's over the mental hurdle caused by his ill advised tweets earlier this year. He sees the new coaches and energy in the program and I think he's reinvested. That's good news, b/c we need him for depth. English and Lewis will be gone after this year, and he was a 5* talent that could start for us one day if he works hard enough.

He had a face-to-face meeting with Boom yesterday ... we'll see how it goes the first time Boom jumps in his face and threatens to rip his head off and spit down his neck.

Leopards rarely change their spots so I'm not holding out any hope that this kid will become a productive, non-disruptive, member of the football team. He strikes me as being an entitled little shite ... and he wanted to boycott during the student protest.

Honestly, I do hope he is productive but for me personally, I will never be a fan of his. Too many transgressions - but I do wish him well and I hope this is not just lip service on his behalf.

ETA: Just rereading his tweets for the first time in months I am reminded how often he says, "beneficial to me," which tells of his egocentric approach to his short time here.

He went out of his way to go after Spurrier on social media. Justified or not, it was a bush league move.

I hope this is the case. I see him on campus all the time, and he doesn't really hang out or walk around with the other players.

Maybe this is the wake up call he needs.

Saw another tweet of his before leaving for work that was very positive.

Somebody scared he's gonna lose his playing time if he doesn't straighten his shite up.

Let's refrain from judgement until the facts come out.

South Carolina freshman defensive end Shameik Blackshear was shot multiple times Wednesday evening at an apartment complex marketed to University of South Carolina students.

Sources close to the incident confirmed Blackshear as the victim of the shooting and said he was shot in the upper and lower body outside of one of the apartment buildings.

According to the Columbia police, who did not identify Blackshear by name, the victim of the shooting was in serious condition Thursday. One source told The State that Blackshear is expected to be OK.

No, uh uh ... he's gotta go.

If y'all only knew. If you didn't then no one is reading between the lines on my earlier posts about him for the past two months ... he's gotta go.

I hope he recovers fully, I wish him well, I'll pray for him ... but he's gotta go. He's gotta get the frick outta our program.

He's been a shite stirring trouble maker since the day he got on campus.

He's gotta go.

Dabo, et al, will use this against us on the recruiting trail too btw ... y'all can bet Jeff Scott is already on the phone with any Momma we're involved with telling her, "hey Mom, do you want your son to go somewhere where their players get shot?'

Blackshere has been a cancer on this team since he stepped on campus. I have bitten my lip so many times about stuff he's done ... because everyone said to keep it hush hush and he'll get his act together. Thug asshat should have never been allowed on our campus. Total bad move by Spurrier to allow it to happen. He has been, imho, the single most major problem within the program since he arrived ... nothing but trouble from the get go.

He's gotta go.

I just hope the whole team can come back, mentally (and physically for that matter). They need to stay focused, train their butts off, and ignore the negativity on social media.

The Gamecocks can come back, the program just needs to go about it the right way. These are going to be the make or break years for Carolina in football. Let's kick back and see what happens.

I found out some information about the incident last night from someone who is tight with a lot of the players. The shooting happened over near Founders Park in the apartment complex formally known as "The Rapids." When I was down here at Carolina (2003-2007), it was pretty much all student housing down there. A few years back, the complex was forced to allow section 8 applicants to have the ability to move in to the vacant units at a discounted rate, and the whole complex pretty much went to hell.

There have been numerous drug related incidents, car break ins, and robberies down there, but this was the first shooting that anyone had heard of. 50% of the complex is now occupied by section 8 applicants, and it will only continue to get worse. I used to go down there and party with friends when I was in college and never felt threatened, but it seems that is not the case anymore.

I didn't get any inclination that Blackshear was involved in a drug deal or anything of those sorts from my source, but he may have been in the wrong place at the wrong time. More will come out about this, but I just wanted to share the info I received yesterday. Hope the kid is okay, and hope the perp is caught, but it may be time for him to move on.

Until all facts come out, I'll refrain from further judgment. However, this guy always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Seems more of a pattern than bad luck IMHO.
