UT wins in walk-off fashion, Carolina had 6 hits on the day. 4 of them came in the first 2 innings, can't win when you don't hit. Gotta win tomorrow.

Same formula today in the tie-breaker: get some hits and score 3 runs in the 1st inning, then go stone cold thereafter. UT leads 8-3 in the 7th inning. This series is done.....

Truth, that was the nail in the coffin I think. The UT series was a must win.

JBJ got called back up to the Red Sox. His avg would show that he got his swing back.

2 words. KMART & Wynkoop.
Posted on 5/1/15 at 9:33 pm to CayceCock13
Incase some missed, here's the stat lines for both:
KMART: (2-2) 2HR, 7 RBI's & 2 BB's
Wynkoop: 8.0 IP, 8H, 1 R (0 ER), 10K's & 0 BB's.
Both were absolutely special tonight.

Added this to the top of the OP to keep an eye on. Since postseason is still somewhat alive, if we win this series and then probably either 1 of the last 2 against A&M or LSU.

Well Taylor Widener pitched his arse off in his second start of the year, but the bullpen gave up 6 Hits & 6 Runs in 4 Innings.

Not feeling good about our chances today, unless the bullpen is much better could be a long one.
Schmidt getting the start.

Pitched and played defense pretty well today, just couldn't hit worth a shite.

We somehow won tonight where Wynkoop gave up 6 runs. Now if we can somehow win 1 of the next 2...

If we end up beating Vandy, aTm and lsu in the same season that we lose to auburn, uga and tenn...that's going to be pretty funny...awful, but pretty funny.

One game at a time....but winning the first one always helps. Big games for both Wynkoop and Martin, and glad to see Mooney get his first career homer in such a huge fashion. Reed Scott was also clutch for us after stepping in for Widener....
