We will not be the last. We offered and then michigan came at him really hard. His rating skiyrocketed. He's camping here this weekend but has aa michican satellite camp he's going to and another mich camp in ann arbor he's scheduled to go to.
Roper has some kind of 'IN' here with the guy so we'll see how this plays out.

I'm happy to hear we're pursuing such studly QBs, however could it be a negative to potential recruits that we're stacked in the position for the foreseeable future with McIlwain, Bentley, and Ulrich?

Not really b/c the traditionally best schools stack guys at all positions, look at Bama and SoCal, or OhSt, they'll have 5 or high 4 * QB's coming in every year.

Camp went really well.
We offered Gilmore's brother for '18.
We also offered a stud LB from Shelby '18, Dax Hollifield. We jumped up to his Top3. He really likes SC and was hoping for this offer. He said that coming to camp at SC was the best $20 he ever spent in his life. We have a real shot with him.

He had rave reviews of this weekend's camp, we're in the lead group!
He is very comfortable with the coaches, team, support staff and academics. We did a great job on the visit and gave he and his dad a lot of attention. We have staying power here with him, but michigan is going to be relentless. He wants to decide next summer.

You are correct, Hollifield is a stud. Tons of talent being developed in Cleveland County. Both Crest and Shelby are back to back state champs and both have a good chance at a 3 peat. For such a small county, football get's exciting here.

He really likes SC, likes the academics, the proximity to home (NC), facilities, coaches, and chance of early playing time in '18.
5* DT Josh Belk is also trending SC still.
5* DE Xavier Thomas has been trending SC for a while.
If we get Thomas, Belk, and Henry it will be the best DL class out of HS we've ever recruited.

Well putting a good product on the field certainly would help. If we have any chance of landing all those guys, we need to be decent this year, and competitive next year.
