Nope, Stephen Garcia and Blake Mitchell both made the Elite 11. Lorenzo Nunez made the semi's last year, but not the Final Elite 11 like Mitchell and Garcia.

Both Davis and McIlwain are scheduled to be a the Gamecock Showcase this weekend. We'll have the #1 QB and #1 WR in the nation on campus, probably getting an incredible amount of attention from Spurrier, Mangus and Bubba. Hopefully we can get Davis back in the program.

Gamecock Showcase Camp is coming up this weekend.
Rough list of attendees, there will be additions and subtractions before Saturday.
COMMITS ATTENDING
4* QB Brandon McIlwain [/link ]- Elite 11 Semit Final MVP
3* WR Bryan Edwards - MVP of the Charlotte Regional, Invited to The Opening.
3* RB CJ Freeman
RECRUITS ATTENDING
4* LB Josh Brown
4* LB Jermiah Moon - another Alabama LB, we have a legit shot here though.
4* LB Kash Daniel - This guy has a great relationship with Coach Botkin.
3* LB TJ Brunson - I think he might be on commit watch (just IMO though.)
3* LB Michael Pinckney - Miami commit, but we have a shot to flip here.
4* DT Antwuan Jackson - Coming on Sunday, not Saturday, BAW's half-brother, we are not in his current Top 5, but we aren't completely out of it either.
4* DT Nyles Pinckney - Right now is tentative to show up.
4* DE Ron Johnson - We have help here, he really likes Mangus, we've been on him a long time and he has a good relationship with several other of our top prospects.
3* SDE Keir Thomas - FSU commit, From Miami Central
4* DB PJ Blue - another one from AL to keep an eye on. Rated as an OLB, but we are looking at him as a Safety.
4* DB Marlon Character - Chance of a commitment, I wouldn't say he's the more likely to commit than some of the others, IMO.
3* DB JJ Givens - rated as an ATH, but we are looking at him as a DB, most likely a tall CB.
3* DB Tre Jackson - coming from LA.
3* DB Thomas Jones - His stock is rising fast, we were one of the first major offers, we'll see who else offers this summer. He may commit at the Showcase though, just IMO though.
3* DB Chris Smith - Rock Hill player, we have help, but we're also his best offer so far.
4* will be a 5* WR Kyle Davis - was committed for almost a year, we've got a shot to bring him back into the fold.
4* WR Brad Hawkins - 7v7 teammate of QB McIlwain, teammates with Ron Johnson, we have a legit shot here.
3* WR Larry Collins - Another SC guy
3* WR Divine Deablo - Best name in recruiting this season.
3* TE Kalen Ritchie - JUCO TE at GA Military, also could play DE if he adds good weight.
4* RB Elijah Holyfield - Tentative to attend. Coach Ward is working with him. We have help in his HS Coach and Terry Googer.
3* RB Tre Turner - ASU Commit, I think we could flip him, he's from LA.
4* OT Landon Dickerson - Stock shot up this spring. We'll battle Va Tech for him.
4* OG John Simpson - just visited clemson, he grew up a Gamecock fan, we need to make this a big visit to regain some ground.
3* OT Akeem Cooperwood - JUCO at GA Military.
3* OT Pete Leota - We should push hard for him, he's much better than his ranking.
3* OT WIll Putnam He needs to add good weight, but this guy is an absolute brawler, with a nasty streak. This is the kind of guy Coach Elliott hunts for. We are in the lead for him, but we're also his best offer.
3* OT Jakori Savage - We're his best offer, we'll see how his rating changes during his camp circuit.

I saw that today, he camped with y'all yesterday, was offered and committed on the spot. Good for y'all, I knew he was legit, I think he's still visiting this weekend though, hopefully we lip him

Quick recap of what I've read from the Showcase Camp
-McIlwain, Hawkins, Edwards and Kelvin Harmon bonded at the camp. Harmon, Hawkins and McIlwain will play on the same 7v7 team this summer. Harmon earned an offer in camp
Harmon is b/w SC and Rutgers, we'll win that battle.
Hawkins and his teammate 4*DE Ron Johnson are b/w Michigan and SC, but we have a really great shot and we'll put The Hit on Michigan.
4* LB Kash Daniel moved up his announcement date to July 4th the day after our camp...that's usually a really good sign, but it's not going to be easy to get him off of UK's radar.
3* DB JJ Givens committed, he's all Gamecock and his offer list is solid and growing.
3* DB Thomas Jones had Boys State this weekend and couldn't end up making it. Boys State is a big honor, that means he's a community/school leader and the type of recruit we should be going after.
Holyfield and Davis didn't come, Davis had a Saturday school session and couldn't miss it. He's trending uga by his actions of visits there and not visiting SC. Hopefully he'll be at the game this year to see us beat up on the mutts again.
Coach Elliott did a great job. several new offers went out to '17 OT's. clemson immediately offered these guys after we did (Douglas and Moore from Mallard Creek.) 4*OT Landon Dickerson now has SC in his lead group with tenn and va tech. 3* OT's Putnam and Leota (both from NC) have SC in the lead now as well.
4* OG John SImpson did not come to our camp, IMO, we are out of it with him. He camped at clemson the week before and talked about how Dabo stressed to him that he'd be there for years. Simpson had been telling people for a month that he would come to the Showcase, but to not show up...not good.
Soon to be 4* WR, Trey Blount, made it in, and he and Mangus have a great relationship. Blount's father and Mangus have been friends since HS.
2017 TE commit, Will Register, is all Gamecock. He got the offer from clemson and SC, but he grew up a Gamecock fan, so that's why he pulled the trigger. He is a big kid for his age with the frame to add at least another 20-30 lbs of good weight. He's a legit 6'5", with a 4.8 40yd time.
4* LB Jeremiah Moon is also closer to pulling the trigger, it's b/w us and Miss St.
Altogether a successful camp, we missed on some guys we were high on several months ago, and found some other good players...Like The King Of The Jungle, '18 DT Josh Belk...who will be a national level prospect. LSU offered the day after we did.
Lattimore was there to speak with the recruits and that went a long way with many of them. He's going to be a recruiting machine once he graduates and we can put him into a QA or recruiting position.
