https://247sports.com/Player/Adam-McLean-28239

He visited the past weekend and did an interview with 247. Na'Ty was his host and he said Na'Ty spoke very highly of the program/school. Adam gave the visit very high remarks, he liked everything, including all the academic support. He'll be the 1st in his family to go to college so graduating is a big deal to him (as it should be.)

This guy could play SDE in a 4-3 or 3-4, but he could also play DT in a 4-3 with a little more size. I like him, really versatile, wants to get his degree, focused on improving his game...I hope this work out.

We aren't getting Rivers back.

The good news is there seems to be an overwhelming amount of talent in the southeast this year at DE.

Clelin Farrell, come on down!

I just watched Arden Key's film. Holy shite that kid has got the fire of God (or something) in him. He will be a beast no matter where he goes.

We just offered in-state SDE

https://247sports.com/Player/Michael-Barnett-23658

He decommited from Va Tech last week.

This is really good news for us. Early last summer, Blackshear, Barnett and Huggins were talking with each other and talking about developing as players and apparently they're friends. (I'm looking for that article right now.)
found it.

Holy shite. Those 3 plus Key would be yet another monster DE class.

If Barnett moves Bama to his favorite or top 2, he'll get the Bama Bump in the ratings. I would expect Rivers to get a big bump soon with the flood of offers he had in the past 30 days.

For that whole situation, with losing Rivers, it's going to be awesome if we end up with Barnett, Huggins, McLean and Key b/c of it.

In State Dual Threat QB, Kelly Bryant just got a HUGE bump on Rivals. #4 Dual Threat, #92 Overall, 4 Star....

Anyone seen him play or have any insight on him?

https://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-Kelly-Bryant-137103

I just watched his Hudl highlight, and I probably need to watch more to be certain.

He's not the fastest QB, but he can move in space decently and he is slightly elusive/quick. He runs with the ball almost always in his right hand and doesn't try to protect it with his body though. Hi arm strength seemed to get better as the video went on. His team used a lot of slants and they didn't show a lot of deep balls. His release is decent. I like how he scrambles behind the LOS with the ball at his shoulder while looking downfield.

Comparing his film to Nos's Jr film, Nos was much further along as a passer and faster. Obviously the Rivals scouts have seen more film than I have, but that's a big call for him to be in the Top 5 of his position and Top 100 overall.

Didn't Rivers commitment kinda come out of the blue? I remember being surprised by it and was always skeptical of it. More so than Key and Blackshear.

I think we get Key back since Green recommitted and hes changing schools.

Rivers came on board after BAW, they all played together in HS.

Key at the new HS will help, but I don't know anything about that Charter School's football team. , I thought we would get him back before or at the March 29th Jr Day event, but then I started wondering if he was going to wait until NSD just b/c.

Do you mean the lead guy we are looking at for the position, or who some of our top choices are? If it's for who some of our top choices at this point in time are, add:

QB: Kelly Bryant, Lamar Jackson,
RB: Johnny Frasier, AJ Turner
APB Nyheim Hines
OL: Martez Ivey, Steven Gonzalez, Tyler Jordan, Tommy Hatton, Kaleb Kim, Dallas Warmack
TE Devonaire Clarington (only TE we offered)
WR Irvin Charles

DE Byron Cowart, Darian Roseboro, Sterling Johnson
DT Adam McLean, Darvin Taylor
LB Ricky DeBerry, Johnathan Sutton
CB Jaquan Johnson Garrett Taylor, Kaleb Chalmers
S Tarvarus McFadden, Rashad Roundtree
ATH: Octavis Johnson, Lyrics Klugh, Ray-Ray McCloud III

I was thinking some sweet spot of a guy we really want + a guy who is highly interested in us.

So, for instance, not someone like Dallas Warmack, who is committed to Bama.

EDIT: I'm trying to get a feel for the contours of our `15 class. Who are the guys we're likely to be seriously in it w/.

right on, in that case ( and it could change quickly, but as far as right now.)

QB: Kelly Bryant, Lamar Jackson,
RB: Johnny Frasier, AJ Turner
APB Nyheim Hines
OL: Martez Ivey, Steven Gonzalez, Tyler Jordan, Tommy Hatton, Kaleb Kim, Dallas Warmack
TE
WR Irvin Charles

DE Sterling Johnson
DT Adam McLean, Darvin Taylor
LB Ricky DeBerry, Johnathan Sutton
CB Jaquan Johnson Garrett Taylor, Kaleb Chalmers
S Tarvarus McFadden, Rashad Roundtree
ATH: Octavis Johnson, Lyrics Klugh, Ray-Ray McCloud III
Adonis Thomas, George Campbell

Dallas is coming to visit soon and if he likes it he'll be back for the Jr Day on Mar 29th, We offered Lamar just 2 weeks ago, so that process is just starting.

Yeah, I don't want to sound ominous and I'm just speculating, but I think Warmack is being told by other programs about "The Process" that can go on at Bama so he's keeping his eyes open to the options.

More good news though, we're back in it with George Campbell, 5 Star Athlete. We actually offered him when he was a Soph, but he didn't have a any interest in us. However, he developed a friendship with BAW at last year's The Opening and now he wants to come in to take a look.

CHS already had Minkah on his initial list, mine were just additions to that list. I agreed with what he already had on his original.

Tommy Hatton

He's visiting campus today with his family. I would expect us to offer.

https://247sports.com/Player/Tommy-Hatton-27595

https://www.hudl.com/athlete/o/1742388/highlights/111428388

We are looking at him as a Guard, but his highlights are mostly from him playing RT. You can tell he loves run blocking. He's been coached well and has good technique. He gets the defender on the ground a lot by hitting him so low initially that he loses balance. He wasn't playing in a league where he was just the biggest kid either. He did a really good job of staying on top of the defenders but also protecting the pocket in passing situations. On the highlight there were several holds, but his body was so close to the defender that no SEC ref is going to catch him. Overall I thought he had really good mobility and played with tenacity and again, really solid run-blocking. I like him, I hope we offer.
