Anyone Else Dropping Mariota?

Despite preseason expectations, this dude isn't worth shite if he can't run for two TDs.
I've been riding Alex Smith waiting for Mariota to emerge, but now I'm dropping him and picking up Dalton for my backup.
Thank God I ignored the internet and started Smith this week.

Why? If you're simply keeping a 2nd QB Mariota has way more value and upside than Dalton.

Dalton plays Indy next week and has pretty good numbers since the OC change, I give him an exception vs the Steelers.
Mariota has a bye then faces Bal, Cincy, Pitt.
If he couldn't do it vs Cle...
There's no apparent value in him for 4wks.

Originally drafted Mariotta and Winston. Ended up picking up Alex Smith a couple weeks in to the season. Ended up dropping Mariotta two weeks ago. Plan to roll with Smith late in the season with how his schedule looks. Will be 6-1 after tonight

Last two weeks Dalton has put up 17 & 16. Mariotta has put up 18 & 11. Im not saying either are going to win you a league, but if I had to choose from the two I want the guy who could turn it around and score 30/game. Dalton isn't doing that.

When Mariota got hurt, I picked up Wentz. I think he’ll be my new starter. Just need to find a wk 10 sub.

Why even carry a backup?
I dropped mariota for Smith in one league early on. Probably too early but it turned out to be a good decision.
I still have mariota in another league, not sure there's much out there worth dropping him for though.
I think mariota should be better after his bye.

Still don't see much point in it. Unless you just have absolute shite at QB, and if you do then stream the position.
