Seriously though, we need to go in this direction and hire the best offensive coordinator currently in college football. We might not be able to get elite proven head coaches but we should be able to get the best assistants on the planet. Just a thought.

How do you know how much of Baylor's production is because of Montgomery? We hired Pease for similar reasons (OC to one of the best offenses at the time), and it didn't exactly work out.

That's why to me, hiring an OC is very difficult. All the sure fire ones are going to be in line for an HC job.

Joker is one of the few proven commodities out there. He isn't exactly a splash hire, but I think he could improve our offense.

Having only watched the one game for Florida I do not know the answer to this. Do you guys get high rated recruits on the offensive line who under perform? or does the scheme not allow the offensive line to be effective? From Mizzou they only have 1 recruit who is a 4* the rest are 3* or lower. Last year with Yost, his scheme got the OLine abused but this year with Henson, the players are the same but his blocking scheme is much different and it has allowed the team to be much better. Never realized how much of a difference an OC can make.

We have highly touted recruits at every single position man. If the position is under performing, It's usually a youth or coaching issue. For us It's coaching, our oline is experienced and regressing.

Seeing the way Mizzou has progressed this year I can honestly say a coaching change can make all the difference. Henson uses tight ends in the line as blockers and never has empty sets and the line itself lines up closer together as opposed to wide sets. Its completely changed the offense. A change in philosophy could make a world of difference for you guys. How long has the current OC been there?

1.5 seasons for our OC. Hopefully he doesn't make it to 1.75

Baylors OC? What? And throw the ball 50 times a game? I dunno about that...those offensive teams always and I mean always have defensive problems...why? Because the scheme puts your defense on the field too much. PLEASE don't say anything our offense leaving our defense on the field too long....other than Mizzou (where we had 2 missing DL starters out + Easley) we have controlled the clock a lot. Its gotta be a balanced attack with emphasis on a 60-65% run ratio to work. Of course if you are two scores behind in the 4th qt.,..the gameplan is tossed out the coaches box window.

Baylor's offense actually runs more than it throws. The difference is that their pass plays are either bombs for TDs, or big plays by their speed guys in space.

After reading more about their offense, sign up their OC. Even if he isn't calling plays, just putting that system in place will result in an increase in production.

Give me an offense like Gus at auburn honestly. We have the rbs and driskel and Murphy are better from the shotgun. Our oline pulls well so that run style works perfectly.

NOT going to happen. WHO would come here with Boom on the hotseat next year? Risk everything and be fired after 1 yr? Come on. A new coach will bring in his own staff.

IF Pease is let go...then it probably means we will have replacement inhouse.

I agree. Based on what I heard, if it was going to be someone in-house (Joker), it would have already been done during the bye week.

If that is the case and Pease is gone, then I would think that Foley ask Muschamp for an OC wish list and Foley got the desired guy behind the scenes.

Never fire someone until you are sure that the replacement will be better.
