Can't speak for the P's in that list, but jimbo never entertained the idea of coming to auburn. did he play it up for his agent to get a few more dollars, probably, but i know for a fact that from the get go he said he would not take the auburn job.
Auburn's only hope was losing his DC might have changed things...clearly it did not

I would love to have one of the guys mentioned, but, I don't see it going down.
AU will either hire Petrino or crumble under the pressure and hire Gus or Smart(who I'm not sure would take the job). IMO

Kirby may not take the job. The family friend of his I know said when they talked (past two weeks) that Kirby dropped in his desire to come to AU. He fears problems with NCAA (more from people talking that are getting fired than what is in the news), the program is not heavy on talent at the moment and he could never come back to Bama where if he does well somewhere else he is the heir apparent.
Friend said he still thinks Kirby would come because of how high profile but it isn't a 100% definitely come here kind of situation
