Looking up some stats I see that we are 23rd in the nation in rushing defense and 27th in sacks.
Our new D guys said stopping the run was priority #1 and they have addressed it well I think.
As we all know passing defense is what is absolutely god awful this year. Coming in at 114th in the nation. These guys bread and butter at Ohio State was having a good secondary. I do believe we are REALLY young in our back 7 as a whole I understand. But 114th? Damn son.
Our total defense sits at #74in the nation.
I honestly wouldn't mind the defensive staff back next year. They seem to have the right idea, just dealing with injuries and youth this year.

We have a talented front 4, but from there we got no depth and we're playing a ton of freshman.
Hell we ran a 4-2-5 last week because we don't have any good Linebackers besides Turner and Peters.

There is only two upperclassman in our back 7 and they are both out of position to cover holes. With the other 5 all are first year players except Tevin Mitchel. Youth is definitely killing us back there but it should hopefully pay dividends in the future.

 I know there's some 5 star busts out there but for Winston to stay the entire time at the same school until his senior year... and not even be playing, having true frosh. start and back up in front of him is pretty dang bad.
We don't get a lot of 5 star talent from Arkansas but damn it sure seems like they mostly don't live up to the hype. (Winston, Dyer, Frazier, Mustain, Andrews, M. Jones) MacFadden would be the only one I can think of that delivered as promised.

Dyer lived up to the hype, drugs was his downfall.
Andrews lived up to the hype, Matt Jones as well, he was projected as a WR out of HS, only Nutt thought he was QB material, but even then he started most of his games at WR.
Winston, Frazier, Burns, Mustain, all highly rated busts.

Our defense is only horrible in the turnover department. The offense puts the defense in a bad position every week by turning the ball over too much, and our redzone offense is some of the worst I've seen.

I think Rohain Gaines is too pretty to play defense. Seems like he doesn't want to get his face busted up, I've yet to see him put a solid lick on anyone.
I do admit, he's a sexy mofo. :nohomo:
well google image search isn't pulling any results of him smiling. What I found doesn't support my pseudo gay claims, but his skin has cleared up since HS.

I did too, lol. I didn't laugh at loud, because I am in class. I probably wouldn't have done it anyways. I just wanted to say, I'm with ya. None of this needed to be typed. I'll never stay up til 6:30am playing Halo 4 again. I don't want to secede from the union.

We have no depth and are very young. That doesn't prevent the coaches from teaching how to tackle andplay the ball in the air, or make mid game adjustments .
