This! I might be new.. but I really don't drink the kool aid, I promise! Not to mention it's a humbling experience living in the b ham area around all the rabid Alabama & Auburn fans here when you grew up cheering for BOTH teams..

I lived in Birmingham for a year, and talked to people who said they liked both teams (Alabama and Auburn) equally. But when the 2 teams played, I could tell that they pulled for one team over the other one. Mostly, these people leaned toward Alabama.

Oh crap! Nobody is gonna understand here.. just know I cheer for both Alabama and Auburn.. haha it's kinda a weird thing, but it's just something my family always did, and there is no going back and changing the way I view it!
The only time I don't cheer for both.. the Iron Bowl, and that's only because my dad played in the Iron Bowl twice as a player for Auburn.. lol

I've been wasting my time on SEC-themed boards for nearly 15 years, and I always hoped I'd find a forum where every school was represented, and that the discussion would range from serious analysis to outright foolishness. And where the mods had enough of a sense of humor (and thick enough skin) to let the posters run the show (within reason, of course).
It's not perfect, but The Rant comes the closest to that ideal than any board I've encountered.

i like to play swords with ole miss people and make fun of auburn fans for being blind. also the arky fans just make me laugh with their epic confidence and superiority. Also, the format is so much better here and there are a lot more posters so there's a lot more threads and posts. It's just better when you discuss things with other teams from the conference and also have a bunch of other boards to read.
