Outside of Mett, why has LSU had horrible QBs since 2007

Was it development or bad talent evaluations or what? Good talent didn't want to play for a team so dedicated to the run? I understand way back when in 2008 it wasn't their fault, but it seems almost every single year you see calls for the backup to come in, and the backup ends up sucking as well.
Never really got how they whiffed so often at that position when they always had endless talent at RB, WR, and before the last two years it seemed like their offensive line was always strong. Seemed like a good spot QB talent could have thrived in with proper coaching.

All I know is that LSU is bad at football currently. If Auburn can't end the streak in Red Stick this year then we might have bigger problems.

Good QBs want to go to a school where they have a chance at being more than a career back up QB in the NFL, at best.

Auburn does a better job picking up the other Power 5 castaways than LSU.

We kept recruiting dual-threat quarterbacks to run a pro-style offense.

Matt Jones got drafted as a WR

For one they haven't signed any elite, everybody wants them QBs
2010 - Zach Lee, #444 overall, #22 Pro
2011 - Jerrard Randall, #188 overall, #8 Dual
2011 - Stephen Rivers, #576 overall, #18 Pro
2012 - no QBs
2013 - Hayden Rettig, #152 overall, #9 Pro
2013 - Anthony Jennings, #214 overall, #14 Pro
2014 - Brandon Harris, #75 overall, #3 Dual
2014 - Brandon Bergeron, #222 overall (Juco), #5 Pro (Juco)
2015 - Justin McMillan, N/A overall, #35 Dual
2016 - Lindsey Scott, N/A Overall, #26 Dual
2017 - Myles Brennan, #152 Overall, #6 Pro
2017 - Lowell Narcisse, #261 OVerall, #9 Dual
The last big time QB prospect at LSU was Russell Shepard in 2009, and he didn't play QB.
1 Top 100 prospect at QB in the last 8 years. I bet there isn't another major position on the field (LB, DL, WR, RB, OL) that has been that low a talent level recruiting wise at LSU over the last decade.
So, when you combine no "can't miss" prospects with bad development................you get starting a transfer from Purdue.

Everyone recruited him as a WR, he started as a WR at Arkansas.

LSU doesn't recruit outside of La well. What state of LA QB, minus Dak, has played well for anyone? Southern LA kids make good lineman, not so good QBs.

LSU has been really poorly coached on offense, minus a few assistants like Adam Henry and Frank Wilson. Crowton, Kragthorpe, Strudawa, and Cam "I've been fired from my last 7 jobs" Cameron were all shite

SC had one a while back, Tennessee and Ole Miss before that but really the point you are trying to make is that any QB from LA with NFL aspirations do not go to LSU, its even harder for them to get out of state QBs to come to LSU.
