Losing to Kentucky four years in a row is a complete embarrassment. I mean, it is inexplicable. It makes no sense.

I agree, we shouldn't lose to those guys period, much less 4 in a row. Honestly, last night shouldn't have been close. Missing that XP and then the FG after Skai's pick took all of the momentum we gained and threw it out the window.

UK is an average team that was going to have a poor game last night against us. We had everything going for us at the beginning of the game and we threw it away by making mistake after mistake (mostly on offense).
You can blame the coaches, the players, the refs, or whoever else but the bottom line is we just did not get it done. UK is a middle tier team in the east and by losing to them 4 years in a row we have solidified our position in the bottom of the division.
On a personal note I will NEVER attend another UK football game until Stoops is gone as their HC. Four years of this is enough for anybody.

Wrong. You type out Spurrier AND HOLTZ, and then focus on Spurrier. Half of those 10 straight wins were under Holtz. Holtz had a losing record at USC as our HC.
USC joined the SEC in 1992. It's facilities were a joke compared to SEC programs, and it wasn't used to playing an annual schedule as tough as SEC programs regularly play.
USC only had two winning seasons in the 90s after it joined the SEC, culminating with 1-10 and 0-11 seasons in '98 and '99. Those were the two worst years in USC history. Then Holtz improved the program, and won 5 straight against UK.
Spurrier continued it, but in his 1st year as HC, most Gamecock fans expected UK to be in the win column for us. Spurrier went 8-3 against UK, during which many of those years were among the best for UK in decades. Two of those 3 losses came in his final 2 seasons. The streak of wins under Spurrier was NOT when Spurrier was "at full steam" - the first half of his time at USC, SOS at best had USC as a 7-6 type of team barely reaching bowl eligibility. Sorta like where Muschamp has the program now, at best. Still we were regularly beating UK.
Holtz went 5-1 vs UK, with the lone loss coming in a season when everyone beat USC.
Based on the history, its logical for Gamecock fans to consider UK as a team we "should" beat, if there's any SEC teams to considered as such. And that doesn't have anything to do with Spurrier....

Hall of Fame coaches who coached at UK
Jerry Claiborne (played under Bear Bryant at UK, laid the foundation for what became Beamer Ball at Virginia Tech. Turned around Maryland next and finished his career at UK (took them to 2 bowls). His best record at UK was 9-3 in 1984 (same year Morrison went 10-2 at SC).
Bear Bryant coached at UK from 1946 - 1953 went 11-1 in 1950 ( I think UK's only 11 win season ever) as the next closest was Fran Curci in 1977 when he went 10-1. While at UK the Bear went 60-23-6 overall and 22-19-4 in the SEC.
The overall point being made is the power of top coaches like Bryant at UK and Holtz / Spurrier at SC and their effects on otherwise non traditional college football schools.
Holtz was winning against Guy Morris and the first years of Rich Brooks
Spurrier was winning against late Brooks and Joker Phillips (terrible at UK)
Without top coaches at either schools, and given the long term history of both football programs they should be fairly evenly matched in the absence of an elite coach at either school. Stoops catching Spurrier at the end of his career and being a few years ahead of Mucschamp starting his career at South Carolina easily explains the current streak but is probably not sustainable over the next 5 years. Notwithstanding a HoF coach on either sideline it should be a fairly even probability for either school going forward in a given year.
2013 Spurrier's 9th at SC / Stoops 1st at UK = SC win @ SC 35-28
2014 Spurrier's 10th at SC / Stoops 2nd at UK = SC loss @ UK 38-45
2015 Spurrier's 11th at SC / Stoops 3rd at UK = SC loss @ SC 22-26
2016 Muschamp's 1st at SC / Stoops 4th at UK = SC loss @ UK 10-17
2017 Muschamp's 2nd at SC / Stoops 5th at UK = SC loss @ SC 13-23
It could be Stoops has Boom's number, but I really doubt it. Not like either school failed to score in any of the last 5 games and not like any of the wins or losses by either school were lopsided. If Boom is on the sideline coaching SC next season and in his 3rd year it should go either way.
