Louisiana Tech lost its opener a year ago at Arkansas 21-20, lost in three overtimes at Kansas State in 2015, and beat Navy in last year's Armed Forces Bowl for its third-straight bowl victory and nine-win season.
Louisiana Tech is one of just eight schools in the country that has won 15 of its last 16 home games, including six in a row. Mississippi State will need to be ready to come away with a victory.

La Tech will be a good test for Miss State. Good game to play before jumping into the SEC schedule.

We also:

Are having Oline issues
Starting a RS Soph QB
Growing as a unit in the secondary
Are a very young team, but talent is there

I suggest Miss St go bland on its game plan again to not tip off LSU. Tech should be an easy game for State.

I agree. I'll pass this information to Dan during the bag man meeting tonight.

MSU run D looked good; gave up 0.5 yards per rush.
MSU pass D gave up 15 yards on 3 of 8 passing but nobody knows how good they are until they face a team that can pass.

LaTech will be a good team to see 'if' there pass D has improved as much as the run D.

Replace Ole Miss after NCAA destroys them.

Keeps a team in the same general area.

Tech will go only as far as J'Mar Smith will take them at QB. He's inconsistent right now, but has a lot of talent. I'll be at Joe Aillet Stadium Saturday checking out the new pressbox!

Agree. Ms St isn't the type of program that can look at La Tech as an automatic win
