Chip Kelly is still a highly reputable coach, unlike Sark and Kiffin when we hired them.
Kelly could get a HC job at any major cfb program, or an OC job in the NFL.

If he did happen to come here, it would only be for one season.
I really want Saban to go after a young, innovative OC who's good with dual-theat QBs, and who might be willing to stick it out with us for 3 or more seasons

Aerosmith he had said he isn't interested in going back down to college. He wants to get a HC or OC job in the NFL.

From my understanding, he isn't really into recruiting, which would disqualify him from the position.

Yeah. It would be crazy and amazing if we could get him to walk this way, but that's just sweet emotion and we just need to dream on. I'm sure he said "I don't want to miss a thing" livin' on the edge in the NFL and he would be cryin' if he didn't have what it takes to get back in the saddle.

This assumes Saban is interested.

Lane didn't really recruit either.

Nice way to let the music do the talking.

I think Saban wants to go back to pro-style, so I'm expecting someone with an NFL background, but with the ability to go fast at times. I think we go back to power running, play-action.

Would give anything to go back to power running, play action. Idc how many records we set under Kiffin, we only had 1 title in those 3 years. When we were running the ball and throwing play action passes, we had a title in 09, 11, & 12. 3 in 4 years. We had to depend too much on throwing the ball under Kiffin. Yes we made the playoffs every year and that's great. But we lost 2/3 years bc we were trying to throw and couldn't. Blake Sims set records, but threw 3 picks against Ohio State and we lost. Jalen Hurts set records but couldn't complete a pass in the title game and we lost.

If we had Kiffin, we go undefeated in 11, and 12 imo.

agreed, and 21-0 would have been more like 35-0 or maybe worse

I dunno, 21-0 was a damned masterpiece. We didn't finish some drives, but insanely good plan and execution.

Mac wasn't always great, but when he was he was something. Florida 2009 and LSU 1/9 were unreal.

We kicked 6-7 FG's and only 1 TD in that game. Kiffin puts us in the endzone at least 2 more times
